Armagh vs Galway - All Ireland SFC FinalA huge day in the Gaelic football calendar takes place on Sunday 28th July as Connacht champions Galway take on Ulster side Armagh in the All Ireland Final. Galway are looking for their first All Ireland championship since 2001 while Armagh are looking for their first All Ireland success since 2002.
Clare vs Cork - All Ireland SHC FinalA huge day in the sporting calendar in Ireland takes place on Sunday afternoon as Clare take on Cork in the All Ireland final in front of a sold out Croke Park of 82,300 supporters. The match culminates a long year for both sides that they will hope to end in All Ireland glory.
Uruguay vs Argentina - Summer Internationals 2024Uruguay will play against Argentina on the 20th July, and this is who I think will go on and win:
Spain vs England - Euro 2024 FinalEngland finally looked like the sum of their parts against the Netherlands, especially during the first 45 minutes in Dortmund. However, they’ll need to replicate this performance level and sustain it against an impressive Spanish side, which has been a level above the competition at Euro 2024 so far.
Donegal vs Galway - All Ireland SFC Semi-FinalA huge day in the Gaelic football calendar takes place on Sunday 14th July as Connacht champions Galway take on Ulster champions Donegal in the All Ireland Semi Final. Galway shocked the defending All Ireland champions Dublin in the Quarter final whereas Donegal comfortably beat Louth in their Quarter final.
Armagh vs Kerry All-Ireland SFC Semi-FinalArmagh take on Kerry in the first of this year’s All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Semi-Finals at Croke Park.
Netherlands vs England - Euro 2024 Semi FinalWhile neither of these sides has performed at their best in Germany so far, they’re both more than capable of reaching the final of Euro 2024. Arguably, the Dutch are in slightly better form and carry a more potent goalscoring threat at present, and they may edge this one unless England cam make some significant improvements.
Spain vs France - Euro 2024 Semi FinalThis is another genuine heavyweight clash between two of Europe’s best footballing nations at Euro 2024, with Spain the narrow favourites to prevail in Munich. However, France are defensively solid and well organised, and although I expect La Roja to prevail, they may require extra-time do overcome their durable opponents.
Limerick vs Cork - All Ireland SHC Semi FinalA huge day in the sporting calendar in Ireland takes place on Sunday afternoon as 4 in a row All Ireland champions Limerick take on Cork in a sold-out Croke Park. The sides last met in the Munster championship earlier in the season, with Cork winning an epic game, 3-28 to 3-26.
Netherlands vs Turkey - Euro 2024The Netherlands are the overwhelming favourites to defeat Turkey in Berlin, especially with the Dutch having finally found some form against Romania in the round of 16. Although Turkey will be fiercely competitive and are likely to score at the Olympiastadion, I expect the Dutch to have too much firepower overall.
England vs Switzerland - Euro 2024Apart from two golden moments either side of extra-time, England were poor and often ragged against Slovakia in the round of 16. The opposite is true of the Swiss, who dazzled against Italy and also held Germany to a draw in the group stages. Murat Yakin’s team are in better form overall, and I’m tipping them to edge this one by the odd goal.
Kilkenny vs Clare - All Ireland SHC Semi FinalA huge day in the sporting calendar in Ireland takes place on Saturday afternoon as Leinster champions Kilkenny take on Clare in Croke Park. The sides have met in the previous 2 All Ireland semi finals and Kilkenny have been victorious on both occasions. Can Clare make it 3rd time lucky on Saturday?
Portugal vs France - Euro 2024France are the ultimate tournament team, and while they’ve struggled in front of goal in Germany, they’ve managed to create chances and defend resolutely. I certainly expect them to prevail in Hamburg, but only after Portugal have pushed them all the way and taken Les Bleus to extra time.
Spain vs Germany - Euro 2024This is a true heavyweight clash between the two form teams at Euro 2024, and it’s a shame it’s scheduled for the last eight. Spain are the narrow favourites and deservedly so, and while I expect Germany to pose a huge threat and push La Roja all the way, de la Fuente’s could well prevail inside 90 minutes.
Austria vs Turkey - Euro 2024Austria will start as favourites against Turkey, but Vincenzo Montella’s side are aggressive and positive in possession. This should contribute to an open, high octane and entertaining game, but I think that Austria’s greater efficiency and ruthlessness in front of goal will see them into the quarterfinals.
Romania vs Netherlands - Euro 2024The Romanians are underdogs to defeat the Dutch, but they’re tough to beat and retain a significant threat on the counterattack. The Dutch have also flattered to deceive at Euro 2024 so far, but retain superior individual quality and should have enough to prevail at the Allianz Arena.
Portugal vs Slovenia - Euro 2024Portugal are the deserved favourites to defeat Slovenia in Frankfurt, although their opponents are defensively well organised and unbeaten in nine matches. They also defeated Portugal in Ljubljana in March, but while this match may be surprisingly close, I think the Portuguese will ultimately prevail in normal time.
France vs Belgium - Euro 2024Both France and Belgium have spluttered at Euro 2024 so far, although Les Bleus have been sharper in their attacking play and simply lacked a cutting edge. These teams are also incredibly solid defensively and well organised, but France’s superior experience and tournament pedigree could prove key during the 90 minutes.
Spain vs Georgia - Euro 2024Georgia are the lowest ranked team left in the competition, but they beat Portugal 2-0 to book their place in the round of 16. However, this result took a huge amount of physical effort and defensive concentration, and it’s hard to imagine them repeating this against a talented and slick Spanish side.
England vs Slovenia - Euro 2024England’s performance levels scarcely improved against Slovenia, but second half cameos from Cole Palmer, Kobbie Mainoo and Anthony Gordon gave manager Gareth Southgate plenty to think about. The good news for England is that the Euro 2024 draw has opened up for them, and I think they’ll nick a close win against Slovakia in Gelsenkirchen to reach the last eight.
Kerry vs Derry - All Ireland SFC Quarter FinalKnockout football continues this weekend as Munster champions Kerry take on Derry in the All Ireland Quarter final in Croke Park on Sunday evening in a repeat of last year's All Ireland semi final where Kerry were victorious on a scoreline of 1-17 to 1-15 in a very entertaining game.
Donegal vs Louth - All Ireland Quarter FinalKnockout football continues this weekend as Ulster champions Donegal take on Louth in the All Ireland Quarter final in Croke Park on Sunday afternoon at 13:15 GMT. as part of a double header with Kerry versus Derry. The sides last met in the Allianz league in March, where Donegal were victorious on a scoreline of 1-17 to 0-15.
Germany vs Denmark – Euro 2024Germany are the obvious favourites here, but despite Denmark’s insipid start to Euro 2024, they’ve lost just two of their last 17 matches and remain defensively well-organised. They’ll offer a threat on the counterattack, too, although this may not be enough to deter a high-quality and varied German attack.
Dublin vs Galway - All Ireland SFC Quarter FinalThe All Ireland is coming to the business end as Dublin take on Galway in the Quarter final of the All Ireland. Both sides are unbeaten in the championship to this point and both sides have won their provincial championship with Dublin winning the Leinster championship while Galway won the Connacht championship.
Armagh vs Roscommon - All Ireland SFC Quarter FinalArmagh take on Roscommon in the Quarter final of the All Ireland championship. Armagh finished top of their group with 2 wins and a draw, and their only championship defeat came in the Ulster final on penalties to Donegal. Roscommon finished 3rd in their group and were successful in the preliminary Quarter finals, defeating Tyrone by 2 points.
Georgia vs Portugal - Euro 2024While Georgia need a win to realistically advance their Euro 2024 campaign, they’ll face an uphill challenge against Portugal. Even if Roberto Martinez rests players, he can call on a deep and hugely talented squad, so it’s hard to look past a comfortable win for the Portuguese in Gelsenkirchen.
Czech Republic vs Turkey – Euro 2024The Czechs are now the lowest ranked third place team in the Euro 2024 group stages, and need a win against Turkey to have any chance of progressing. However, the Turks relish the type of open and end-to-end encounter that they were involved in against Georgia, and I expect them to edge an entertaining match in Hamburg.
Ukraine vs Belgium – Euro 2024Belgium know that a draw or a win in Stuttgart will guarantee them a place in the round of 16. However, Ukraine need three points to achieve such peace of mind, so they may have to take the game to the Red Devils at some stage. This could suit a fast and talented Belgian team, so I’m tipping them to prevail at the MHPArena.
England vs Slovenia – Euro 2024England appear to be in free-fall both on and off the pitch, but the fact remains that they can top Group C with a win against Slovenia. I expect them to achieve this objective too, as Three Lions’ coach Gareth Southgate shakes up his starting 11 and tries to build some momentum for the remainder of the tournament.
Denmark vs Serbia – Euro 2024Denmark take on Serbia in matchday 3 of Group C in Euro 2024, with a place in the Last 16 up for grabs for the winners. Denmark sit in 2nd place with 2 points while Serbia is in 4th place on 1 point. England will be favourites to beat Slovenia, so whichever side wins here should get 2nd place.
Netherlands vs Austria – Euro 2024Austria have been one of the most impressive teams at Euro 2024, with their aggressive pressing and high tempo playing style having proved a handful for both France and Poland. However, the Netherlands also boast some tremendous individuals and are defensively well organised, so they’ll be similarly tough to beat in Berlin.
France vs Poland – Euro 2024Poland have already been eliminated from Euro 2024, while France can seal their last 16 place (and potentially top spot in Group D) with a win in Dortmund. They should also welcome back Kylian Mbappe from injury, so it’s hard to see past a comfortable victory for France here!
Croatia vs Italy - Euro 2024Croatia need a win here to have any chance of qualifying (even in third place in Group B), whereas a draw will be enough for Italy in Leipzig. I expect them to achieve this result too, especially when you consider Croatia’s wastefulness in front of goal, Italy’s defensive strength and their pedigree at major tournaments.
Scotland vs Hungary – Euro 2024Scotland take on Hungary in matchday 3 of Group A in Euro 2024 with a place in the Last 16 potentially up for grabs for the winners. At the moment, the most points a 3rd place team has is 1, so a win for either of these will most likely see them as one of the 4 best placed 3rd teams and a spot in the last 16.
Switzerland vs Germany – Euro 2024Host nation Germany takes on Switzerland in the final match of Group A. Germany have two wins out of two, beating Scotland 5-1 in their opening game and beating Hungary 2-0 last time out. Switzerland have 4 points from their opening two games, drawing with Scotland 1-1 last time out and beating Hungary 3-1 in their opening game.
Louth vs Cork – All Ireland SFCLouth take on Cork in the preliminary Quarter Finals of the All Ireland Championship. Louth finished 2nd in their group behind Kerry winning 2 and losing 1 meaning they got home advantage for this match whereas Cork finished 3rd with 1 defeat and 2 wins missing out on 1st and 2nd place on score difference.
Belgium vs Romania – Euro 2024Belgium are the heavy betting favourites to defeat Romania in Cologne, and they’ll be in desperate need of three points after their surprise loss to Slovakia. Although they won’t have things all their own way against a buoyant and well-organised Romanian team, I expect them to claim a much needed victory at the RheinEnergieStadion.
Derry vs Mayo All IrelandMayo take on Derry in the preliminary Quarter Finals of the All Ireland Championship. Mayo finished 2nd in their group behind Dublin winning 2 and drawing 1 meaning they got home advantage for this match whereas Derry finished 3rd with 2 defeats and 1 win beating Westmeath in their final group game to get to this stage of the competition.
Turkey vs Portugal Prediction – Euro 2024Turkey takes on one of European Championship favourites Portugal in the second round of Group F in Borussia Dortmund’s home stadium, Signal Iduna Park. Portugal come into the game as the favourites with the bookmakers, and had a strong qualification campaign finishing top of the group winning 10 matches out of 10. Turkey finished top of their group in qualifying losing only once in 8 matches.
Tyrone vs Roscommon All IrelandTyrone take on Roscommon in the preliminary Quarter final of the All Ireland championship. Tyrone finished 2nd in their group after a heavy victory over Clare and a 4 point win versus Cork last time out. Roscommon got their first championship victory of the year when they beat Cavan last time out by 6 points to finish 3rd in their group.
Galway vs Monaghan – All IrelandGalway take on Monaghan in the preliminary Quarter final of the All Ireland championship. Galway have home advantage for this one courtesy of finishing 2nd in their group. They are unbeaten in the championship to this point winning 3 matches in Connacht and 2 wins and a draw in the group stages. Monaghan got their first victory of the championship against Meath last time out to finish 3rd in their group.
Clare vs Wexford - All Ireland HurlingClare take on Wexford in the second of the All Ireland hurling Quarter finals as part of a double header with Cork and Dublin on Saturday. Clare go into the game as favourites after strong performances in the Munster championship losing out in the final to Limerick by 6 points in an epic game. Wexford finished 3rd in the Leinster championship and had some great wins most notably against Galway, but they also suffered a shock defeat to Antrim, so it is hard to know what to expect of Wexford.
Georgia vs Czech Republic PredictionText in parent page: This is match that’s difficult to predict, as despite Georgia’s lowly ranking, they played with immense courage and attacking intent against Turkey. The Czechs performed a defensive rearguard in their defeat against Portugal, but retain enough quality to punish their opponents. So, this is a match that has draw written all over it!
Cork vs Dublin - All Ireland HurlingCork take on Dublin in the first of the All Ireland hurling Quarter finals as part of a double header with Clare and Wexford on Saturday. Cork go into the game as overwhelming favourites after strong performances in the Munster championship particularly against All Ireland champions Limerick, who they defeated. Dublin are coming off a hammering in the Leinster Final versus Kilkenny and will be low on confidence.
Netherlands vs France – Euro 2024The potential absence of Kylian Mbappe will be a huge concern for the French, but they have enough squad depth and experience to cope. Both they and the Netherlands are also defensively sound and well organised, so I’m expecting a low scoring affair in which Les Bleus’ big game mentality may prove decisive.
Poland vs Austria – Euro 2024Both teams could be eliminated with a defeat in Berlin, depending on the outcome of the other Group D match between the Netherlands and France. Although there’s not a great deal between these two side, Austria arguably have a little more attacking quality and intent, and this may prove decisive in the end.
Slovakia vs Ukraine – Euro 2024Slovakia take on Ukraine in matchday 2 in group E. Group E is an open group with Belgium as the favourites while 2nd place will be open between Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine. Slovakia play Belgium in matchday 1, while Ukraine face Romania. This match will be tense with both sides desperate to get through the group.
Spain vs Italy – Euro 2024Spain and Italy meet at the Veltins-Arena in an intriguing matchday 2 in group B of Euro 2024. Spain come into the tournament after a strong qualifying campaign where they won 7 out of 8 matches losing only once. Italy qualified in 2nd place in qualification finishing behind England winning 4, drawing 2 and losing twice to England.
Denmark vs England – Euro 2024Although England are the favourites to win here (and Euro 2024 outright), they looked disjointed at times against Serbia and will have their hands full against a balanced and physically strong Danish team. Denmark will have their fair share of the ball too, so I’m predicting this match to end in a keenly contested draw.
Slovenia vs Serbia – Euro 2024Both Slovenia and Serbia were defensively solid and well organised in their respective Group C openers, although they struggled to create chances in the attacking third. However, both teams have talented and clinical strikers in their ranks, and I think they’ll both find the net in a low-scoring draw.
Scotland vs Switzerland – Euro 2024The Scots need a positive result here after their opening day hammering by Germany, while the Swiss may be able to book a place in the last 16 with a win in Cologne. While I expect Scotland to deliver a more determined and improved performance here, Switzerland should have a little too much for Steve Clarke’s men.
Germany vs Hungary – Euro 2024Once again, Germany are the heavy betting favourites to defeat Hungary at the MHPArena in Stuttgart, especially having despatched Scotland so emphatically last time out. Although I expect the Hungarians to improve on their performance in defeat against the Swiss, it’s hard to see past a win for the hosts here.
Croatia vs Albania – Euro 2024Croatia and Albania are in desperate need of points in Group B, having both lost their Euro 2024 openers. A further defeat for either team here could prove catastrophic to their hopes of reaching the knockout stage, but I expect Croatia’s superior quality and experience to ultimately prevail at the Volksparkstadion.
Portugal vs Czechia – Euro 2024Portugal come into Euro 2024 after a perfect 10 out of 10 record in their qualifying campaign scoring 36 goals and conceding only 2. They are filled with a bundle of attacking talent and will be one of the tournament favourites. Czechia had a strong qualification campaign finishing 2nd but they will have it all to do to try and deal with this strong Portugal side.
Turkey vs Georgia – Euro 2024Turkey take on European Championship debutants Georgia in the opening round of Group F in Borussia Dortmund’s home stadium, Signal Iduna Park. Turkey come into the game as the slight favourites with the bookmakers, and had a strong qualification campaign finishing top of the group, while Georgia made it to the first Euros through the playoffs beating Greece on penalties.
Austria vs France – EURO 2024Both of these teams are in good form and qualified convincingly for Euro 2024, while Austria have now scored in 15 consecutive matches. As a result, this should be an open and entertaining match and one in which France’s superior firepower and creativity may ultimately prove decisive.
Slovenia v Denmark – EURO 2024Although Denmark will start this match as heavy betting favourites, Slovenia matched them during qualifying and have won seven of their previous nine matches. However, the Danes are a little more experienced and the greater firepower, so I’m tipping them to edge an entertaining game at the Stuttgart Arena.
Belgium vs Slovakia – EURO 2024Belgium are the heavy betting favourites to defeat Slovakia in their Group E opener, thanks to a combination of their prolific attack and solid defensive shape. While Slovakia are also defensively well organised, they lack a proven international goalscorer, and the Red Devils should have too much for them in Frankfurt.
Romania vs Ukraine - EURO 2024Romania qualified for Euro 2024 far more convincingly than their opponents, but Ukraine are playing in their fourth consecutive finals and boast a wealth of tournament experience. Neither side is particularly prolific and this is likely to be a close and tense encounter, with the draw offering considerable betting value here.
Serbia vs England – Euro 2024England are the favourites to defeat Serbia in Gelsenkirchen, and they certainly boast superior squad depth and quality in attacking areas. However, they’re also struggling with a defensive injury crisis, while the Eagles can call on the talismanic presence of Aleksandar Mitrović in their forward line. So, this match may be a little closer than the bookies think.
Dublin vs Mayo All IrelandDublin take on Mayo in the final group stage match for both sides in Group 2. Both Dublin and Mayo head into the game with 2 wins out of 2, with both sides beating Cavan and Roscommon in their previous two matches. Both sides have qualified out of the group but this match will determine who goes straight into the Quarter Final and who will have to face a preliminary Quarter Final.
Poland vs Netherlands – Euro 2024Not only did the Netherlands qualify more impressively for Euro 2024, but Poland haven’t defeated the Dutch in any competition since 1979. Aside from talisman Robert Lewandowski, the Poles also lack depth and quality in attack, and I expect the Netherlands to start their campaign with a win in Hamburg.
Meath vs Monaghan - All Ireland SFCMeath take on Monaghan in the final round of Group 4 with both sides without a win in the championship to this point. Monaghan have 1 point while Meath have 0 points, but both sides know a win sends them into the preliminary Quarter finals of the All Ireland Championship.
Kerry vs Louth - All Ireland SFCKerry take on Louth in O’Moore Park Portlaoise in a game that will decide who gets top spot in Group 4. Kerry head into the game in 1st place with 4 points while louth are 2nd on 3 points. Both sides are guaranteed to progress out of the group but both will want to progress straight into the Quarter final.
Galway vs Armagh - All Ireland SFCGalway take on Armagh in the final group stage match for both sides in Group 1. Both Galway and Armagh head into the game with 2 wins out of 2, with both sides beating Derry and Westmeath in their previous two matches. Both sides have qualified out of the group but this match will determine who goes straight into the Quarter Final and who will have to face a preliminary Quarter Final. Galway take on Armagh in the final group stage match for both sides in Group 1. Both Galway and Armagh head into the game with 2 wins out of 2, with both sides beating Derry and Westmeath in their previous two matches. Both sides have qualified out of the group but this match will determine who goes straight into the Quarter Final and who will have to face a preliminary Quarter Final.
Italy vs Albania - Euro 2024Italy are the overwhelming favourites to defeat Albania, with 57 places separating them in the latest FIFA rankings. However, Albania topped qualification Group E ahead of higher ranked rivals and are likely to be competitive at the Westfalenstadion. But will Italy have a little much quality for their opponents?
Dr Crokes vs Loughmore Castleiney - Munster Club Football FinalsLoughmore-Castleiney, the reigning Tipperary champions, will aim to defy the odds as they face off against Kerry heavyweights Dr Crokes in the Munster Club Football Final, set to take place in Mallow this Sunday. Our prediction guide tells the full story.
Derry vs Westmeath All IrelandDerry take on Westmeath this Saturday night in a huge match for both sides. After 2 rounds both Derry and Westmeath are winless on 0 points. Neither side can finish top of the group and go straight through to the quarter final but the winner of this match will seal 3rd place and book a place in the preliminary quarter final against a 2nd place of a different group.
Spain vs Croatia - Euro 2024This is a heavyweight European Championship clash, and a repeat of the 2023 UEFA Nations League final. Spain are the heavy betting favourites and should have a little too much attacking quality for their opponents, but Croatia are incredibly durable and will push the Red Fury all the way in Berlin.
Belgium vs Morocco Prediction and Betting OddsThe 26th match of the 2022 Qatar World Cup is scheduled to take place at the Al Thumama Stadium on November 27th, with Belgium taking on Morocco at 4pm local time. These sides will have already opened their 2022 WC campaigns with games against Canada and Croatia respectively, and will go in search of more points as they look to book their place in the last 16.Of course, Belgium will start as the clear favourites to beat their North African rivals. But will the nation’s pedigree tell, or can Morocco spring a significant surprise?
Argentina vs Mexico Prediction and Betting OddsHosted at the Lusail Stadium, we see the tournament front-runners Argentina against their Latin American rivals, in a Group C contest that could go a long way to determining the eventual group winners. Will favourites Argentina live up to their billing and get the win? Let’s find out!
Roscommon vs Cavan - All Ireland SFCRoscommon take on Cavan in the final round robin game of Group 2 with both sides currently winless in the group phase to this point with both defeated by Dublin and Mayo. Both sides know that a win will send them into the preliminary Quarter Final and a defeat will leave them out of the championship and their season over. Therefore, it is a game with a lot of jeopardy.
Hungary vs Switzerland - Euro 2024This could be a tight and tense encounter in Group A, especially with Hungary unbeaten in 14 matches and Switzerland having lost just one of their previous 12 games. However, the Swiss have a big tournament pedigree and superior individual quality, and I’m tipping them to record a potentially crucial win in Cologne.
Donegal vs Clare - All Ireland SFCDonegal take on Clare in an interesting match in group 3. Clare are currently on 0 points with a -16 score difference while Donegal are on 2 points with a score difference of +7. Clare need to win this by at least 12 points to leave them on -4 score difference and Donegal on -5 with both on 2 points. This is a near impossible task against a team as good as Donegal.
Tyrone vs Cork - All Ireland SFCTyrone take on Cork in the final round robin game of Group 3 with Cork sitting top on 4 points having been victorious versus Clare in round 1 and Donegal in round 2, and Tyrone sit in second place after victory versus Clare last time out and defeat versus Donegal in round 1.
Germany vs Scotland - Euro 2024Germany are the overwhelming favourites to win their Group A and tournament opener, notwithstanding Scotland’s excellent qualification campaign. Although the Scots will be organised and dangerous during attacking transitions, Germany have found some form of late and should have too much attacking quality for Steve Clarke’s men.
Limerick v Clare – Munster Hurling FinalsThis will be the third consecutive Munster final contested by these two teams, with Limerick having won both of the previous matches on their way to continued provincial and national dominance. But which team do I think will win in Thurles this weekend?
Kilkenny v Dublin – Leinster Hurling FinalsJune 8th will see the final of the 2024 Leinster Hurling Championship. The Cats will go in search of their fifth successive provincial crown in the Irish capital and home of their opponents, while the Dubs are aiming to win just their second Leinster title since 1961. But will they deliver on this status, or will Dublin end their opponents’ recent provincial dominance in the capital?
Derry vs Armagh - All Ireland SFCDerry host Armagh on Sunday in what is expected to be an exhilarating and fascinating clash. Derry came into this year's championship as one of the favourites after winning the Division 1 league but have suffered defeats to Donegal and Galway that has halted momentum. Armagh were defeated in the Ulster final on penalties but responded with victory versus Westmeath. I expect a tight game.
Monaghan vs Louth - All Ireland SFCMonaghan hosts Louth in St Tiernans Park Clones in what is a huge encounter for both sides. Monaghan need a win after their 10-point defeat to Kerry last time out, whereas Louth know another victory this time out will see them through to the next stages of the All-Ireland Championship.
Westmeath vs Galway - All Ireland SFCWestmeath were handed a tough group involving Armagh, Galway, and Derry and it was always going to be difficult for them. They put up a good showing albeit in defeat versus Armagh but now face the difficult task of Connacht Champions Galway who were impressive last time out versus Derry.
Tyrone vs Clare - All Ireland SFCTyrone host Clare in a must-win game for both sides after both Tyrone and Clare tasted defeat in Round 1 of Group 3 at the hands of Donegal and Cork respectively. Tyrone are the stronger on paper and this is seen in the odds from the bookmakers who heavily favour a Tyrone win.
Dortmund vs Real Madrid - Champions League FinalMadrid will be looking to complete a La Liga and Champions League double and will arrive at Wembley having lost just two of their 53 competitive matches this season. But which team do I think will win, and what are the best betting sites in Ireland saying?
Roscommon vs Mayo - All Ireland SFCHere's my expert insight into this all-Connacht tie in Round 2 of Group 2 in the All Ireland Senior Football Championship, as Roscommon host Mayo in Dr Hyde Park. Mayo will be the favourites after their comfortable victory in Round 1 versus Cavan, whereas Roscommon have it all to do after their 12-point defeat to Dublin.
Limerick vs Waterford Prediction - Munster Hurling Round 5Limerick are the heavy pre-game favourites to defeat Waterford at the Gaelic Grounds this weekend, so there’s little value in backing the Buttermilks to win outright. However, the good news is that there are plenty of alternative hurling betting markets that you can explore.
Tipperary vs Clare - Munster Hurling Round 5This weekend will see the Munster Hurling Championship draw to its conclusion. Tipperary have already been eliminated from contention, and are destined to finish bottom unless they thrash Clare and Waterford are defeated by Limerick. But will Tipperary get the result they need at the Semple Stadium?
Antrim vs Carlow - Leinster Hurling Round 5Carlow earned their sole point so far after a plucky draw at home against Leinster leaders Kilkenny on May 11th, only to endure a 26-point thrashing at the hands of Wexford last time out. But which team will lose here and end up in possession of the provincial wooden spoon?
Kilkenny vs Wexford Prediction - Leinster Hurling Round 5Wexford thumped bottom team Carlow by a staggering 26 points at Cullen Park last time out, with Lee Chin posting 0-13 and Conor McDonald scoring twice for ‘The Yellowbellies.’ But which team will prevail here, and who are Ireland’s best sites favouring?
Galway vs Dublin Prediction - Leinster Hurling Round 5‘The Tribesmen’ defeated Dublin by eight points in an Allianz Division 1B clash on March 10th, in a fierce contest that saw four red cards and 11 yellows. This match could be similarly ferocious in front of an impassioned Galway crowd, but who do Ireland’s best betting sites think will prevail?
Dublin v GalwayThe final weekend of the round robin phase of the Leinster hurling championship takes place this weekend as Dublin host Galway in Parnell Park with a place in the Leinster final at stake.
Tipperary vs Cork - Munster Hurling ChampionshipA win for either team at the Semple Stadium would put them in contention for an All-Ireland preliminary quarter-final spot as Tipperary and Cork look to build on relatively impressive National League campaigns in 2024. But which side will prevail here, and what odds are being offered by Ireland’s best betting sites?
Carlow vs Wexford - Leinster Hurling ChampionshipWexford recorded their first victory in the 2024 Leinster Championships with an eight-point win over Galway last weekend and played two divisions above their opponents in the recent National League campaign. But who will emerge victorious at Dr. Cullen Park, and what do Ireland’s top betting sites have to say?
Clare vs Waterford - Munster Hurling Championship‘The Banner County’ took the weekend off in gameweek two, while Waterford were held to a draw by Tipperary at Walsh Park and missed the chance to strengthen their grip on second. But what odds are Ireland’s best betting sites offering ahead of this match, and do I think will win in mid-west Ireland?
Dublin v Kilkenny - Leinster HurlingThese two teams top the provincial table after three rounds of fixtures, although ‘The Dubs’ are a point clear of Kilkenny in the race to qualify for the Leinster final. Despite being heavy betting favourites to defeat Dublin, Kilkenny have only won one of their previous four matches in all competitions.
Clare vs Cork: All-Ireland Senior Football ChampionshipClare will take on Cork in their first All-Ireland SFC group stage match, and this is who I think will go on and win:
Antrim vs GalwayThe current Leinster Hurling standings make for grim reading for Antrim, who sit fifth in the round-robin table having accumulated just two points from three matches. Make no mistake: both sides are currently competing for third position and an All-Ireland preliminary quarterfinal spot, but which one will prevail at Corrigan Park in Belfast?
Eurovision 2024 - FinalsThe 2024 Eurovision Song Contest is upon us, and this is who I think will go on and win the title:
Real Madrid v Bayern PredictionVinicius Junior’s late penalty at the Allianz Arena has given Real a huge edge in the tie, especially given their imperious home record. They’re certainly the favourites to win in 90 minutes and qualify for the final, as they continue their quest for a record-extending 15th Champions League crown.
PSG vs Borussia Dortmund PredictionDespite facing a slender first leg deficit, PSG are the favourites to win the second leg and the tie overall. This is a testament to the individual and collective quality that they possess, although Dortmund are a competitive and relentless team that won’t give up their advantage easily. This should make for a thrilling second leg and one that could well go to extra-time and penalties.
Liverpool vs TottenhamBoth teams have struggled for form of late, with Liverpool’s title challenge all but over and Spurs’ hopes of claiming a top four spot becoming increasingly distant. However, Liverpool remain a formidable outfit at Anfield, while Tottenham’s defensive vulnerabilities in open play and at set pieces could be their undoing here.
Chelsea vs West HamThis is a tough match to call, with Chelsea one of the few teams that can flatter to deceive even during a run of one defeat in 11 matches. Although West Ham have only won one of their previous eight EPL games, they remain resilient in defence and effective in attacking transition, and I’m tipping them to steal a point at Stamford Bridge.
Brighton vs Aston VillaBrighton have won just six of their previous 27 EPL matches, but have also only lost three times at home this season. Conversely, Villa have maintained relatively steady form in pursuit of UCL qualification and lost just one of their seven away matches in 2024. I expect them to continue this here and secure another crucial three points on the south coast.
Man City vs WolvesCity are the justified favourites to beat Wolves at the Etihad, having not lost here in the league since November 2022. They’re also unbeaten in 19 Premier League games overall, while Wolves have won just one of their previous seven matches in the top flight. So, it’s hard to see past a comfortable win for the home side here!
Arsenal v BournemouthThis will be a tough test for Arsenal, as Bournemouth are in excellent form, aggressive in their approach and pushed the Gunners close at the Emirates last season. However, Arsenal have looked superb in their last two matches and remain firmly in the hunt for the EPL title, so I expect them to edge an entertaining game in North London.
Dortmund v PSG PredictionThis is a difficult match to call, although PSG are the favourites to win in Dortmund and triumph in the tie overall. I certainly expect them to dominate both the ball and territory at the Westfalenstadion and although Dortmund will be combative and dangerous on the break, I’m tipping PSG to carve out a slender lead ahead of the second leg.
Bayern v Real MadridWhile Bayern will kick off the first leg of their semi-final clash with Real Madrid as the narrow favourites to win at the Allianz Arena, Los Blancos are tipped to qualify from the tie overall. There’s certainly little to choose between these two continental giants, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see this match end in a tight score draw.
Nottm Forest vs Man CityCity haven’t lost a Premier League match in 2024 and are unbeaten in 30 games in all competitions, while Forest are struggling for points towards the bottom of the league. So, although Forest will pose a threat in transition and should have their moments at the City Ground, it’s hard to see past a comfortable away win here.
Tottenham v ArsenalThis is likely to be a typically helter-skelter North London derby, as Spurs look to derail their rivals’ title charge and maintain their own push for the top four. However, the Gunners have the best away record in the division and haven’t conceded on the road in six games, and I expect them to secure a crucial win here.
Aston Villa v ChelseaVilla are the betting favourites to defeat Chelsea this weekend, which makes sense given their home form and Chelsea’s lack of consistency. The Blues have only won twice on the road in 11 outings and have a porous defence, and it’s hard to see anything other than a Villa win in the Midlands.
West Ham v LiverpoolWest Ham have won just one of their last seven EPL matches and only one of their previous eight at the London Stadium. So, although Liverpool are embarked on a poor run of form that appears to have scuppered their title chances, I expect them to dominate in East London and secure three points.
Brighton vs Man CityCity are now unbeaten in 29 matches in all competitions and haven’t lost in 17 Premier League games, while they’re up against a Brighton team that has won only six of their previous 26 top-flight encounters. While I’m predicting a City victory on the south coast, however, the Seagulls will be competitive throughout and typically efficient in possession.
Man United vs SheffieldFor all of Man United’s frailties at both ends of the pitch, their gameweek 34 opponents Sheffield United are relatively toothless and have one of the worst defensive records in EPL history. So, although I expect the Blades to score at Old Trafford, it’s hard to see beyond a home win here.
Everton vs LiverpoolThis fixture has seen nine draws in 11 matches dating back to 2011, and Everton will undoubtedly set themselves up to be compact and hard to beat at Goodison Park. However, Liverpool are back in the groove after their weekend win at Fulham, and I expect them wear down their stubborn opponents during the 90 minutes.
Arsenal vs Chelsea - EPLArsenal are the heavy favourites to defeat the Blues, having kick-started their EPL title challenge with a victory over Wolves at the weekend. Although Chelsea are now unbeaten in eight top flight matches, they continue to struggle for consistency and haven’t kept a clean sheet on the road throughout the whole of 2024.
Fulham vs LiverpoolLiverpool’s title challenge now hangs by a threat after their defeat to Palace, but Fulham are unlikely to show much mercy at Craven Cottage. Marco Silva also has a fully fit squad to choose from and a much easier schedule to contend with, and I’m tipping Fulham to defeat an increasingly jaded and over-worked Liverpool side.
Aston Villa vs BournemouthVilla’s 2-0 win at the Emirates last weekend ended a run of one win in five for Unai Emery’s men, kickstarting their UCL qualification charge in the process. Bournemouth have also won just once on the road in six previous outings, so I expect the home side to prevail in an open and entertaining encounter.
Crystal Palace v West HamPalace are the narrow betting favourites to defeat West Ham, who have won just one of their last six EPL matches and also have the UEFA Europa League to contend with. The Eagles were also superb during their 1-0 win at Anfield last weekend, and could well make it two consecutive Premier League wins against the Hammers.
Wolves vs ArsenalArsenal will be desperate to bounce back after their EPL home defeat to Villa, but the distraction posed by the Champions League and the Gunners’ perceived fragility could undermine their efforts at Molineux. Wolves are also tough to beat and have been reinforced by the return of Matheus Cunha, so I’m tipping this game to end in a score draw.
Luton Town vs BrentfordLuton have won just one of their last 12 games in the EPL, but a victory here would provide a huge boost to their survival hopes. As for the Bees, they’ve won only one of their previous 11 matches on the road, but would probably settle for a point given their seven-point cushion on the Hatters. I’m backing them to get it too!
Man City vs Real Madrid - UCL 2024City are the heavy betting favourites to both win the second leg and qualify for the UCL semi-finals, but Madrid’s quality and pedigree in this competition earmarks them as a serious threat. While I expect them to score at the Etihad, however, I think City will prove too strong on their own patch and ultimately prevail.
Bayern vs ArsenalThis tie is evenly poised after a thrilling 2-2 draw in the first leg, during which both teams had periods in the ascendency. However, Bayern haven’t lost at home for more than years in the Champions League, while their pedigree and experience in this competition could prove decisive at the Allianz Arena.
Dortmund vs Atletico MadridWhile Atletico are the clear favourites to qualify for the last four after their first leg win, the odds imply a higher probability of Dortmund prevailing in 90 minutes at the Westfalenstadion. However, Atletico are seasoned UCL campaigners and remain one of the competition’s most efficient attacking teams, so I’m tipping them to win here and edge the tie.
Barcelona vs PSGBarcelona are the favourites to win the second leg and qualify for the UCL semi-finals, but they’ll face a motivated and competitive PSG team at the Nou Camp. Kylian Mbappe also remains a huge goal threat for the Parisians, but while I expect Luis Enrique’s team to score in Spain, I think the Catalan giants will emerge victorious on the night.
Arsenal vs Aston VillaThe Gunners are now undefeated in 11 EPL matches as they maintain their impressive title charge, while Aston Villa have won just one of their last five top-flight games. Villa will also be without the influential Douglas Luiz in midfield, so I’m tipping Arsenal to edge a highly competitive contest in North London.
Liverpool vs Crystal PalaceLiverpool are the heavy betting favourites to defeat Crystal Palace at Anfield, where the Reds have only lost once in their previous 57 Premier League matches. They’re also in desperate need of three points as they look to maintain their title charge, and it’s hard to see Palace derailing their challenge this weekend.
Bournemouth vs Man UnitedBoth of these sides have been inconsistent this season, which makes matches involving them incredibly difficult to predict. There’s also little discernible difference between Bournemouth’s home record and United’s overall performance on the road, so I think this match could well end in a score draw.
Man City vs Luton TownCity now haven’t lost in 26 matches in all competitions and 16 Premier League games, while no side has beaten them at the Etihad Stadium since Brentford triumphed 2-1 in November 2022. Luton will also arrive in Manchester without a total of 11 first-team players, and City should prove far too strong even if they rotate their own first 11 this weekend.
Newcastle vs TottenhamThis could well be an open and high scoring EPL encounter, with both Newcastle and Spurs dangerous in attack and vulnerable in the defensive third. Despite their mounting injury crisis, home advantage favours the Magpies here, while their wingers will have plenty of space to exploit in behind Spurs’ defensive line.
PSG vs BarcelonaPSG are the bookmakers’ favourites to defeat Barcelona at the Parc des Princes, but this match is likely to be closer and more keenly contested than the odds suggest. Neither side will want to find themselves significantly disadvantaged ahead of the second leg either, so the smart money may be on a score draw here.
Atletico Madrid vs Borussia DortmundAtletico are the clear favourites to defeat Dortmund and achieve a crucial first-leg lead in Madrid, but the Bundesliga outfit have been extremely strong defensively in their 2023/24 UCL campaign. So, this should be a tight and evenly contested match in which both teams score and push each other all the way.
Real Madrid vs Man CityMan City are the narrow betting favourite to defeat Madrid in the Santiago Bernabeu in this quarterfinal, first-leg clash, despite Los Blancos being unbeaten at home in nearly a year. City hasn’t been at their best defensively this season, however, so they may have to overcome a first-leg deficit if they’re to reach the last four.
Arsenal v Bayern PredictionThis is a true heavyweight clash between two superb teams, but there’s no doubt that Arsenal are in better form at the time of writing. They’re also Europe’s most efficient team in front of goal, and while Bayern will expect Arsenal nemesis Harry Kane to find the net at the Emirates, the Gunners are my favourites to edge the first leg.
Man United vs LiverpoolLiverpool have lost just one of their previous 23 EPL matches, and while United defeated them 4-3 in the FA Cup last month, Erik ten Hag’s men continue to struggle in the Premier League. They’re certainly conceding a huge number of chances at present, and it’s hard to imagine Liverpool not taking advantage of such generosity as they pursue the EPL title.
Brighton vs ArsenalBrighton have only lost once at home all season, but the Seagulls have also won just six of their previous 25 EPL games since September 24th. They’ve certainly lacked a cutting edge in attack for much of the season, and although I expect them to be competitive against the Gunners, Arteta’s title chasers should have too much on the south coast.
Aston Villa vs BrentfordAlthough Unai Emery’s team have wavered slightly at home since their record-equalling 15-match winning run at Villa Park, they returned to winning ways against Wolves last weekend. Brentford are also on a torrid run of just three wins in their last 20 EPL matches, while the potential return of Ollie Watkins could prove key for the Villains.
Chelsea vs Man UnitedIt’s almost impossible to predict matches involving Chelsea and Man United, with both sides frustratingly inconsistent and vulnerable defensively. However, the Red Devils have not lost in 12 EPL matches against the Blues, and I expect them to edge a close and open match in West London.
Liverpool vs Sheffield UnitedLiverpool have now lost just one of their previous 56 EPL matches at Anfield, while Sheffield United have only won once on the road in the 2023/24 EPL season. So, it’s no surprise that the Reds are the overwhelming favourites to win here, with the only question surrounding the margin of victory for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Man City vs Aston VillaDespite being unbeaten in 23 matches in all competitions and 39 at home since November 2022, Man City have struggled for goals and fluency of late. However, Villa will arrive in Manchester without influential midfielder John McGinn, while top scorer Ollie Watkins is a doubt with a hamstring strain. This could afford City a crucial edge in what should be a tight match!
Arsenal vs Luton TownWhile Arsenal are undefeated in nine EPL games in 2024, Luton have gone the same number of matches without a win since January 30th. The Hatters could also be without 13 first-team players for their visit to the Emirates, so it’s hard to see past a comfortable Gunners win in North London!
Brentford vs BrightonThis remains a difficult match to call, with both Brentford and Brighton in questionable form and struggling at both ends of the pitch. However, both teams are capable of creating chances and pressurising their opponents, and I expect this match to end in a tight score draw.
Man City vs ArsenalCity are the favourites to defeat Arsenal at the Etihad, but the pre-game odds don’t really reflect how evenly matched these sides are. However, the Citizens remain unbeaten in their previous 38 home matches in all competitions, while their big-game nous and experience means I expect them to secure a potentially pivotal win here.
Liverpool vs BrightonLiverpool have only lost one of their previous 55 EPL matches at Anfield, so Brighton will have the weight of recent history against them when they arrive on Merseyside. The Seagulls are not in particularly good form either, and while I expect them to score at Anfield, it’s hard to envisage them escaping with a point or more!
Brentford vs Man UnitedWhile the odds suggest that this could be a close and keenly contested match, the form should make Man United the clear favourites in West London. It’s certainly hard to look past a win for Erik ten Hag’s men, although the Bees will be as combative as ever and always offer a significant goal threat.
Aston Villa vs WolvesWhile Villa’s home form has wobbled of late, they retain a highly impressive record at Villa Park and will entertain a Wolves team that will be shorn of its best attacking players. So, although Gary O’Neil’s men will be as organised and combative as ever, I think the Villains should run out as comfortable winners this weekend.
Chelsea vs BurnleyChelsea have now gone four EPL matches unbeaten, which is their longest run in the whole of the 2023/24 campaign. Although Burnley have also avoided defeat in their last two Premier League matches and will arrive in West London with renewed optimism, the Blues should have too much for their relegation-threatened opponents.
West Ham vs Aston VillaThe Hammers have only won one of their last five home games in the Premier League, while Villa have only been defeated once on the road since November 5th. So, although this should be a tight and keenly contested game, I expect Unai Emery’s to secure a crucial three points in East London.
Fulham vs TottenhamThis is a deceptively tough match to call, especially given Fulham’s solid home record and Spurs’ ability to avoid defeat on the road. However, Tottenham are relentless and aggressive in their approach under Ange Postecoglou and will largely dominate possession at Craven Cottage, and I expect them to have too much for their opponents.
Burnley vs BrentfordWhile neither of these teams is in good form, Burnley’s need for a win is more pressing as they currently sit seven points from safety. However, they’ve won just once at home all season and haven’t triumphed at Turf Moor since December 2nd, while Brentford were competitive at Arsenal last time out and pose a threat to any side on their day.
Luton Town vs Nottingham ForestThis match could arguably be called a relegation six-pointer, as a win for the Hatters would move them above Nottingham Forest on goal difference. Neither team is in great form, but while the Hatters are suffering with a slew of injuries, they can call on home advantage and their indefatigable spirit against a Forest side that’s consistently poor on the road.
Atletico Madrid vs Inter MilanDespite Atletico’s excellent home form this season, they’ve won just two of their last eight games and were well beaten at the San Siro in the first leg. So, although I expect the return match to be more competitive and Diego Simeone’s men to push Inter all the way, the Serie A team should have too much for their opponents.
Borussia Dortmund v PSV EindhovenThis close and even tie is fascinatingly poised after the first leg, with the two teams tied at one apiece. However, Dortmund haven’t lost a home Champions League game in more than two years, while their superior experience, quality and transition means they should have enough to overcome an in-form PSV.
Barcelona vs NapoliThis tie is evenly poised after the first leg, although Barcelona will think that playing at home will afford them a crucial advantage in the return match. However, Napoli have Victor Osimhen back fit and firing and will push the Catalan side all the way in Spain.
Arsenal v FC PortoPorto will be buoyed by their surprise first leg win, and have something tangible to hold onto at the Emirates. However, Arsenal remain in superb form and are one of the most efficient attacking teams in the Champions League, and should have too much quality for the Portuguese side in the second leg.
Liverpool vs Man CityThis is a seismic Premier League encounter at the top of the table, with Liverpool looking to open up a four point gap over their rivals. However, City can go top with a win and take a huge stride towards defending their EPL title, although this would require them record just their third victory at Anfield in 43 years.
Aston Villa vs TottenhamThis is an incredibly even matchup, and one that sees two of the Premier League’s most entertaining teams go head to head. Villa are the slight favourites given their formidable home record, but Spurs have only lost twice on the road and never know when they’re beaten under Ange Postecoglou.
Arsenal vs BrentfordArsenal are the huge favourites to defeat Brentford at the Emirates, having won their previous seven EPL matches by an aggregate score of 31-3. However, the Bees are always tenacious and well organised and should make life a little more difficult for the Gunners, although they’re not in the greatest form themselves.
Real Madrid vs RB LeipzigMadrid carved out a slender 1-0 lead during the first leg in Germany, but this tie remains evenly balanced ahead of the return fixture. Los Blancos will certainly have to be wary of Leipzig’s significant threat on the counterattack, but the likely return of Jude Bellingham from injury could tip the match in favour of Madrid.
Man City v FC CopenhagenMan City are the heavy betting favourites to defeat Copenhagen in their second-leg clash and record a comfortable aggregate win, and it’s hard to imagine any other outcome at the Etihad Stadium. Ultimately, this could be a high-scoring matchup and one in which the Danes will also provide a threat in transition.
Bayern Munich v LazioWhile Lazio maintain a slender 1-0 lead from the first leg, they continue to lack creativity and a consistent goal scoring threat. As for Bayern, they returned to winning ways with a dramatic 2-1 win over RB Leipzig last time out, and I expect them to have too much for Lazio at the Allianz Arena.
Real Sociedad vs PSGWhile PSG hold a 2-0 lead from the first leg and are overwhelming favourites to qualify for the UCL last eight, the second leg in San Sebastian is far tougher to call. In truth, this could be a tight encounter in which PSG look to control possession, and there may well be value in backing the draw here.
Man City vs Man UnitedCity are overwhelming favourites to beat an inconsistent Man United side, who were awful in and out of possession against Fulham at the weekend. The same level of performance at the Etihad will lead to an even heavier defeat than the one endured against the Cottagers, while the Red Devils could be without eight first team players for the short trip across the city.
Newcastle vs WolvesWhile Newcastle are slight favourites to beat Wolves at St. James Park, Gary O’Neil’s men are unbeaten in four on the road and pose a significant threat in transition. The Magpies are also struggling defensively and have done so since the beginning of December, so Wolves may have a better chance of winning here than their implied probability suggests!
Tottenham vs Crystal PalaceSpurs are always a good watch under Ange Postecoglou, while for the first time, Oliver Glasner will take charge of Palace at Selhurst Park. This should be another open and entertaining game, but can Palace spring a surprise here or will Spurs deliver on their status as favourites?
Nottingham Forest vs LiverpoolWhile Forest are the betting underdogs here, Liverpool’s mounting injury crisis could provide a glimmer of hope for the East Midlands strugglers. However, the Reds have huge momentum after their Carabao Cup win and continue to grind out results, while they may also be boosted by the return of Mo Salah against Forest.
Brentford vs ChelseaChelsea will be keen to bounce back from their EFL Cup final defeat, but Brentford are in desperate need of points after a run of 12 defeats in 16 Premier League matches. Both sides have been profligate in attack and error-strewn in defence this season, but the Bees will be hoping that home advantage gives them an edge against their local rivals!
Arsenal v NewcastleNewcastle face a daunting trip to the Emirates this weekend, to face an Arsenal side that has scored 21 goals in their previous five matches. The Magpies have also shipped 20 goals in their last eight Premier League games, and while they always retain a goal threat, they may struggle to keep the free-scoring Gunners at bay.
Man United vs FulhamFulham head to Old Trafford with one of the worst away records in the 2023/24 Premier League, while they’ll face a Man United side that has now won four successive EPL matches. So, the Red Devils are fully justified as the pre-game favourites, especially with striker Rasmus Højlund on a hot streak of form.
Brighton vs EvertonNeither of these teams are in tip-top form, with Brighton having won just five of their previous 19 league games and Everton winless in eight. However, the Seagulls appear to be turning the corner and have rediscovered their shooting boots of late, while Everton will struggle to gain possession and carve out chances at the AMEX Stadium.
Crystal Palace vs BurnleyBoth of these sides are struggling at the wrong end of the table, but Palace are five points clear of the relegation zone and will welcome Oliver Glasner into the dugout for the first time at the weekend. As for Burnley, they’re seven points adrift from safety and will see this as a must-win game if they’re to successfully fight relegation this season.
Napoli vs BarcelonaNapoli are going to take on Barcelona in Naples on the 21st of February, and this is who I think will end up going on to win:
Porto vs ArsenalPorto will take on Arsenal on the 21st of February in the Champions League, and this is who I believe will go on and win:
Liverpool vs Luton TownLuton have improved immensely as the EPL season has progressed, while the Hatters remain one of the most tenacious and well organised sides in the division. However, they’ll have their work cut out to get anything at Anfield, where league leaders Liverpool remain unbeaten in 24 matches since October 2022.
PSV vs Borussia DortmundPSV will welcome Borussia Dortmund to the Philips Stadion on the 20th of February, and this is who I think will go on and win this match:
Inter vs Atletico MadridInter will welcome Atletico Madrid to the San Siro on the 20th of February, and here are my views on who I think will win:
Manchester City v ChelseaManchester City are going to welcome Chelsea to the Ethihad on Saturday evening, and this is who I think will go on and win:
Burnley vs ArsenalThe Gunners are deserved favourites to win at Turf Moor, especially with Burnley struggling in the attacking and defensive thirds. So, although Vincent Kompany’s men have scored in their last five games and I expect them to register again in front of their home fans, Arsenal are in confident mood and will have too much firepower for their opponents.
Brentford v LiverpoolBrentford entertain Liverpool in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off, with the Reds looking to maintain their slender lead at the top of the EPL table. They’re the clear favourites to win here too, but Brentford retain a significant attacking threat and now have Ivan Toney back in their ranks after his extended layoff.
Lazio v Bayern MunichBayern are clear favourites to defeat Lazio in the first leg of this UCL round of 16 tie, especially given the Eagles struggles in front of goal. But will the Bavarians prevail here, or can Lazio take a potentially crucial lead to Germany for the second leg?
PSG vs Real SociedadPSG are the clear favourites to defeat Real Sociedad in this round of 16 first leg tie, but the Spanish side remain technically proficient and tough to beat. So, will Luis Enrique’s men deliver on their status as favourites at the Parc des Princes?
RB Leipzig v Real MadridThe Champions League knockout stage returns in earnest next week, with Real Madrid travelling to Germany to take on RB Leipzig. Madrid will arrive having lost two of their previous 28 matches, whereas the Bundesliga side have struggled for form in recent weeks. While Madrid may have the edge here, this should be a keenly contested and close match.
Copenhagen v Man CityCity are overwhelming favourites to defeat Copenhagen in the first leg of this round of 16 tie. But will they deliver on this status, or can the Danes stun the defending European champions at the Parken Stadium?
Aston Villa v Man UnitedThis has the potential to be a hugely entertaining game, especially as the last five meetings between Villa and Man United have produced 20 goals. United have won three of these matches, however, while their front three are in exceptional form and could well put the Midlands side to the sword again.
West Ham v ArsenalWest Ham are winless in four EPL games, while Arsenal have won their previous three league matches (scoring 10 goals in the process). So, the Gunners are heavy favourites here, but will they deliver on this status in East London?
Tottenham v BrightonTottenham Hotspur picked up 8 wins and 2 draws from their opening 10 of the current Premier League campaign as Ange Postecoglu seemed to have rejuvenated Spurs back into title contenders as they were for most seasons under Mauricio Pochettino. The Lilywhites as the favourites, but which team do I think will win this reverse encounter at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium?
Liverpool v BurnleyThis has the potential to be a real mismatch, with Liverpool unbeaten in the their last 23 matches Anfield and Burnley having won just three EPL games all season. The Clarets also have a porous defence and tend to take the game to their opponents, and while this may be admirable, it could lead to a heavy win for the Reds.
Man City v EvertonRead my detailed Man City vs Everton prediction including betting tips, correct score prediction, and predicted lineups.
Brentford v Manchester CityBrentford have lost eight of their last 10 EPL games, while conceding 14 goals in their previous five. They therefore won’t be relishing the chance to play a rejuvenated City side, who have won six successive games in all competitions and recently welcome back Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland. So, Guardiola’s men will be clear favourites here.
Sarsfields vs Slaughtneil - All Ireland Club Hurling Semi FinalsMunster champions Sarsfields face off against Ulster kingpins Slaughtneil for a place in this year’s All-Ireland Club Hurling Championship Final on Sunday December 15th at 13:30pm at St Conleth’s Park, Newbridge, Co Kildare.
Crawford Vs PorterTerence Crawford is the favourite for this fight, but we do not think that it is such a forgone conclusion. Who will go on to win this fight? Find out here.
