🕵️‍♂️ How We Review Players Championship Betting Sites

So, how do we go about reviewing the top Players Championship betting sites for you? Well, in this next section of our in-depth guide, we shall explain exactly what we look for when searching for top bookmakers to recommend to you.

▶ The Bonuses on Offer

When we are looking at a new sportsbook, we will always look at the bonuses that are being offered so that we can see whether you will be getting a good deal should you register with them. Now, we are certainly not saying that bonuses are the most important part of a sportsbook, but it is obviously nice to receive a little award for registering with one. We will definitely not promote a bookmaker based only off their bonuses, but our attention will obviously be drawn towards a top bonus offer.

When we come across a bonus that catches our eye, we will not only pay attention to its value - we will also have a look at the T&Cs that apply so that we can tell you about the key ones in our subsequent review, Although we will always tell you the key terms, we do recommend that you also take the time to read the T&Cs yourself so that you are even more familiar with the rules that apply.

▶ The Odds That Are Available

Being able to claim a top bonus when registering with a sportsbook is nice, but the bonus quickly becomes obsolete if the odds that are on offer are poor. A welcome offer does not last for long, but the odds do, and poor odds will have a negative impact on your gambling experience as it is the odds that dictate the type of profit that you can get from the winning wagers that you place.

Let us give you an example to prove this. For instance, if you place €10 on Rahm to go on and win the 2023 Players Championship with odds of 8.00 and he does, then you will land a €70 profit. If, on the other hand, you place €10 on Rahm to win with another bookmaker at odds of 8.20 and he does, your profit will be €72. Now, a difference of €2 is nothing in isolation, but if you lose out on €2 every time you land a winning bet, then the amount will quickly add up.

So, with this firmly in mind, if we feel that a particular sportsbook does not offer good enough odds to their punters, we will make it abundantly clear in our review. It will then be down to you to decide whether you would still like to register with that bookmaker.

If you would like to find out more about odds, then check out this betting odds guide that was written by one of our experts.

▶ The Variety of Markets

We all like variety because this is what stops things from becoming stale and boring. Yes, there is nothing wrong with placing bets on the winner of a golf event, but things would become really tedious pretty quickly if this was the only thing that you could bet on. Thus, when we sit down to analyse a sports betting site, we will always look at the various sports that are on offer and the different markets that are available.

If we decide that the sportsbook is slacking when it comes to their markets, then we will mention it to you in our review. After all, we want you to have the best sports gambling experience possible, so the last thing that we want is for you to register with a sportsbook that will bore you because of its lack of variety.

▶ Do They Have Quick Deposits and Withdrawals?

Plenty of inexperienced gamblers when they are searching for a sportsbook to register with will pay no attention to the banking methods that are available, but this is a bad move. Before you open an account with a sportsbook, you have to ensure that they offer he best banking methods around and that they are not slow when it comes to making withdrawals and deposits.

We have a lot of experience in both the sports betting and online casino worlds, and we are yet to come across someone who likes it when their money is delayed. Being forced to wait to place a bet or spend your winnings is frustration that everyone can do without. If you have read other reviews of ours, then you will already know that we always pay close attention to the payment methods that are available. If we believe that a bookie is slacking here, we will bring it to your attention.

▶ Do They Have Good Customer Care?

One of the last things that we take a look is the customer care that a bookie offers. However, despite it being one of the last things that we check out, it is not any less important than the above. With the best bookmakers, you will not have to contact customer support that often, but there is always going to be a chance that an issue arises, and you will need some help. If this happens to you, then you will want your problem, whatever it happens to be, to get solved quickly.

We will always take the time to send a mock issue to a sports betting site that we are analysing as we feel that this is the most successful way to find out whether their customer care team is up to scratch. If they take ages to get back to us or reply with useless solutions, it will be a big red flag for us, and we will let you know our findings.

🔮 Predictions for The Players Championship 2023

We know that golf is a sport that Irish sports bettors like to place bets on, and our in-house experts enjoy giving their Players Championship golf betting tips to our readers. Therefore, below you can find one of our expert's predictions for the 2023 Players Championship that will be played between the 9th and 12th of March.

2023 Players ChampionshipThe 2023 Players Championship will take place between the 9th and 12th of March, and this is who we think will go on to win this event:

👍 Markets for Players Championship Betting

Betting on golf, either online or at a land-based bookmaker, is something that is very popular among bettors. This is because not only is it a slow sport that lends itself easily to live betting, but you will usually find that there is a golf event being played every week, with more than 100 players participating usually. The fact that the field is so large in golf means that the favourites will usually have higher odds, which means more profit if you manage to choose the correct types of wagers.

In this section of our Players Championship guide, we are going to look at some of what we feel are the best markets that you can put your money on when you are making use of Players Championship golf betting odds.

Outright Event Winner

This market is, without question, one of the most popular ways for golf betting punters to bet on this sport. When you put down such a bet, what you are doing is putting your money on a certain player to go on and win the competition. As we said, due to a large number of participants, you will find higher outright odds for golf than for most other sports that you can put bets on.

First Round Leader

With this type of market, what you are doing is trying to choose the player that will be sitting at the top of the leaderboard at the end of day one. You do not need to concern yourself about whether your chosen golfer will still be at the top come the end of day four, since this bet is for the first round only. For this market, do your own research and find out which players tend to get off to a flier on the first day before their main competitors finally reach up to them.

Head-to-Head Betting

This is another market that you should consider when golf gambling it is a market that puts two players against each other, and it is your job to try and predict the golfer that will finish on top and land the lowest score, thus ending up higher on the final leaderboard. It is important to remember that you are not choosing the outright winner of the competition with this wager - you are basically just choosing a player from a nominated pair to do better than his rival.

Top 10 or Top 20 Finish

Leaderboard gambling markets are designed to let you bet on players who you think will finish the event in the Top 10 or Top 20. This type of market is really popular since it kind of acts like an each-way better. Obviously, though, you will not receive a smaller fraction of the original outright odds, as you do with an each-way wager, but you can still choose players that you are sure are not going to win, but are still good enough to end the tournament in the Top 10 or 20.

h2>⭐ Players Championship Betting Tips

At BetInIreland, our team of experts have a lot of knowledge when it comes down to betting on the Players Championship and golf as a whole. Thus, we all put our heads together to provide you with some great tips for betting on golf. We are obviously not forcing anyone to make use of the following betting tips for the Players Championship, but you will certainly do yourself a big favour if you do.

If your go to strategy when betting on golf events such as the Players Championship is to just hope that luck is with you, then do not be surprised if you keep on losing your bets. So, with that said, let us now give you the Players Championship betting tips to keep in mind.

The Course Favours No Man

It is safe to say that the TPC at Sawgrass course is almost as internationally recognised as the competition itself. This course was designed by Pete and Alice Dye and it is known to be one of the trickiest courses in the world. Upon its completion, Pete declared that he wanted to make a green that favours no particular type of golfer or playing style so they added a selection of long, medium, and short holes that have par-5s, par-4s, and par-3s.

They designed the course so that no two consecutive holes are played in the same direction, which means it does not favour ball strikers, long ball hitters, or those who shape a golf ball with a certain trajectory. In order to win here, golfers must bring with them concise course management and strong all-round performance. So, if you are thinking about betting on the winner of this competition, then one of the top Players Championship betting tips that we can give you is to do plenty of homework and see who is going to be entering this tournament in the best overall form.

Do Not Expect a Big Margin of Victory

Since 2010, five editions of this competition have been won by just one stroke, two editions went to a play-off, and two were won by two strokes, one by three strokes and two by four strokes. What this tells us is that this is usually a very close contest, so this is something that you need to keep in mind if you decide that you would want to bet on the margin of victory

Lady Luck Plays a Big Part Too

Golf is an outdoor sport, so ultimately it is one that is impacted by weather conditions. Due to the number of players that take part in big golf events, they cannot all take part at the same time, so some players might get lucky and get to play their shots in favourable weather conditions, while others might not have Lady Luck on their side and will have to take their shots in terrible weather conditions.

So, what we are saying here is that if you are considering placing some sort of wager on an outcome at the 2023 Players Championship, then take a look at the weather forecast for the coming days and then make your wagers accordingly. Take a look at when your chosen player will be playing his shots, and what type of weather he will potentially have to put up with.

Americans Often Win

When it comes to golf betting you can usually make a wager on the nationality that you think will go on to win the competition. If this is a kind of wager that you think might be of interest to you, then you should take into consideration that five of the last 10 events have been won by an American. Two have been won by an Australian, one by a German, one by a South Korean, and one by a Northern Irishman.

🔥 New Betting Offers for the Players Championship

The gambling world is one of the most competitive industries out there at the moment, and if a bookie does not manage to stand out, then they will not get any new customers and will soon go out of business. In order to try and entice new players to register with them, bookies will offer top welcome offers and, in the table below, we are going to reveal to you some of the top gambling offers that Irish punters can make use of at this moment.

Sports betting sites do not offer the same bonuses for a long period of time because they need to make sure that stay a step ahead of their rivals. If they noticed that one of their rivals have improved their welcome bonus, then they will feel like they have to do the same or risk losing out on potential customers. Therefore, there is always going to be that chance that the free bet offers that we highlighted in the above table are no longer on offer. If this happens to be the case when if you go to register with any of the above sportsbooks, then we apologise for any inconvenience it causes.

🏁 The History of Players Championship Tournament

This competition is the brainchild of Deane Beman, who used to be the PGA Tour commissioner. The inaugural edition of this tournament took place in Georgia at the Atlanta Country Club. In 1975, it was decided that it was going to be relocated to the Colonial Country Club, Fort Worth, Texas, but the following year in 1976 it was already being moved to Lauderhill's Inverrary Country Club.

In 1977, it was agreed that the event would be played in Florida at the Sawgrass Country Club and from 1983 it has been taking part up the road at the TPC at Sawgrass venue. Only five players have managed to win both the Players Championship and a major PGA title in the same year and these are Hal Sutton, Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Cameron Smith, and Martin Kaymer.

The youngest golfer to win this competition is Kim Si Woo from South Korea, who was just 21 years old when he won the title in 2017. The oldest winner is Fred Funk who was 48 when he lifted the title back in 2005. Jack Nicklaus is the competition's most successful player with three victories under his belt, while only four other players have managed to win the title multiple times - Steve Elkington, Hal Sutton, Fred Couples, and Davis Love III.
