💯 Royal Ascot 2023 Betting Odds

Before you start betting on Royal Ascot, it’s important to have an overview of the meeting’s best races and the latest ante post prices. So, I’ve created an up-to-date Royal Ascot odds list for five of the best Grade 1 races from each day of the festival.

📌 Royal Ascot Queen Anne Stakes (June 20th)

Where else to start with the Grade 1 Queen Anne Stakes, which is run over one mile and will take place on June 20th this year. Charlie Appleby’s four-year-old colt Modern Games is the early ante post betting favourite here, while Inspiral is also hotly tipped to do well despite missing the recent Al Shaqab Lockinge Stakes at Newbury on May 20th.

📌 Prince of Wales’s Stakes (June 21st)

The Prince of Wales’s Stakes is another prestigious Grade 1 race, and one that’s scheduled for Wednesday, 21st June this year. Unsurprisingly, Aidan O’Brien’s Luxembourg is the early frontrunner in a highly competitive field, with the four-year-old performing strongly to edge the Grade 1 Tattersall’s Gold Cup by ½ a length from Bay Bridge last time out.

📌 Royal Ascot Gold Cup (June 22nd)

The Royal Ascot Gold Cup will take place on Thursday, June 22nd this year, with Coltrane and Eldar Eldarov almost neck-and-neck in the eyes of Royal Ascot’s best betting sites. Whoever wins this race will bank in excess of €283,550 on behalf of their owner, with this race arguably the jewel in the Royal Ascot crown!

📌 Royal Ascot Commonwealth Cup (June 23rd)

The Commonwealth Cup is the standout race on Friday, June 23rd, with this short distance sprint contested over just six furlongs. The ante post Royal Ascot betting odds make Little Big Bear the clear Commonwealth Cup favourite, with his price having shortened since he prevailed comfortably in the Class 1 Betfred Nifty Fifty Sandy Lane Stakes at Haydock at the end of May.

📌 The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes (June 24th)

This six-furlong flat race takes place on the final Saturday of the Royal Ascot meeting, while it was recently renamed from the ‘Platinum Jubilee Stakes’ in memory of Her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. The four-year-old colt Artorius is the ante post favourite here, while Highfield Princess is tipped to do well after an impressive run last time out at York.

⚡ Top Royal Ascot Betting Sites

Before you engage in Royal Ascot 2023 betting, you’ll need to compare the best betting sites according to a number of key criteria. In the next section of this Royal Ascot betting guide, I’m going to briefly review six of the best sites and describe what sets them apart from their competitors.

1️⃣ BoyleSports

Let’s start with BoyleSports, which is the market leading sports betting brand brand in Ireland and one that arguably offers access to the best overall Royal Ascot betting experience.

The site certainly offers access to highly competitive ante post prices, thanks in part to its daily ‘Best Odds Guaranteed’ promotions. These are available across all UK and Irish races from 8am every day, while BoyleSports guarantees its odds against those from a broad range of competitors. The site also features ‘Extra Place Races’ on a daily basis, enabling you to cash in on sixth and even seventh place finishes depending on the size of the competing fields at Ascot.

As for the BoyleSports welcome offer, this comprises €50 in free bets when you place a qualifying wager of €10 at minimum odds of 2.00. Once this wager has been placed, you’ll have seven days to place your free bets before they expires.

2️⃣ Luckster

Luckster is best known as a casino platform, but it has recently made a significant impression as a sportsbook too. To this end, it offers extensive horse racing betting as one of 34 different sports categories, which is much higher than the industry average of 25.

For those of you who enjoy accumulator betting and intend to act on several Royal Ascot betting tips during the five-day festival, Luckster also offers a 77% ‘Acca Boost’. This can boost the value of winning accumulators by as much as 77%, enabling you to bank a tidy return on even four or six-fold bets.

If you’re new to Luckster Sports, you can also earn a €10 free bet simply by placing a qualifying wager of the same value at odds of 2.00 or greater. This unlocks access to a huge range of Royal Ascot betting markets!

3️⃣ Ladbrokes

Like BoyleSports, Ladbrokes is one of the best-known and most trusted sportsbooks in Ireland. Horse racing is central to its sport betting offering, with Ladbrokes offering competitive and guaranteed odds across a huge range of meetings.

Interestingly, Ladbrokes also offers as many as four daily price boosts to customers, three of which are exclusive to horse racing. These generous odds boosts will optimise your potential returns, even when backing relatively short price favourites. At the same time, the site runs its own bespoke ‘#GetAPrice!’ feature, through which you can construct unique wagers simply by tweeting @Ladbrokes with your queries directly.

Ladbrokes is currently rewarding new customers with up to €20 in free bets, on the proviso that they complete an initial qualifying bet of at least €5. This must be placed at odds of 1.50 or higher, while your four, €5 free bets will expire after seven days.

4️⃣ William Hill

Betinireland’s bookmaker reviews confirm that William Hill is a market leading sportsbook, with the site offering genuinely competitive odds and a highly immersive mobile gambling experience.

The latter is underpinned by a prolific live streaming platform, which broadcasts more than 60,000 events each year (including the Royal Ascot Gold Cup). William Hill even has its own radio station, which also enables you to follow race coverage and punditry in real-time.

Like BoyleSports, William Hill also runs daily guaranteed odds promotions, while you can opt in to receive €30 in free bets when you place a qualifying wager of €10 at odds of 1.50 or greater. This bonus comprises three separate €10 free bets, which must be deployed within 30 days of their receipt.

5️⃣ Betway

Betway is also one of Europe and Ireland’s most trusted sportsbook, and one that offers access to a huge range of Royal Ascot betting markets.

Across all its featured sports categories (including horse racing), Betway promotes more than 30,000 betting markets, while the site also livestreams a huge number of popular events every single year. As an existing player, you can also opt-in to the site’s ‘Free Bet’ club and earn up to €10 in free bets at the end of each week, so long as you wager at least €25 between Saturday and Friday.

When you initially join the site, Betway will match your first deposit and bet by 100% up to the value of €30. You must wager a minimum of €5 at odds of least 1.75 to qualify, while there are no wagering requirements applied to the free bet that you earn!

6️⃣ Unibet

Lastly, I’ll come to Unibet, which is also one of Europe and Ireland’s most popular sportsbooks and another that live streams as many as 40,000 events every single year.

Unibet also offers significant daily odds boosts, through its innovative ‘Uniboost’ feature. This is currently available on any race and can significantly improve your value for money when backing short price favourites. What’s more, you can leverage the Uniboost offer up to three times a day, which is ideal during busy race meetings like Royal Ascot.

Unibet is also running a generous welcome offer at present, which comprises a €40 money back offer (plus a €10 casino bonus) when your first bet loses. Your qualifying wager must be between €10 and €40 and be placed on minimum odds of 1.40, while any free bets that you earn must be deployed within seven days.

✔️ Royal Ascot Betting Tips

Watching the Royal Ascot results come in can be a truly thrilling experience, especially if you have a vested interest in the outcome of a particular race. The key is to make informed selections, of course, so here are some expert Royal Ascot betting tips to keep in mind!

✅ Analyse Relevant Venue Trends for Ascot

While it’s a no-brainer to prioritise runners who have a good record at Ascot (especially in the relevant going), you should also give consideration to each runner’s form at similar venues. For example, the Newbury Course has produced 12 winners of the coveted Queen Anne Stakes, while a further three successful horses also ran at Longchamp in their previous outing. This type of statistical trend will vary from one race to another, but it’s important to analyse past performances in numerous ways so that you can arrive at more informed decisions.

✅ Favour Quick Horses Over Stayers

Ascot is a typical flat race course; in that it tends to favour pacey thoroughbreds over durable stayers. This is because the course plays hard and fast in most conditions, while its steep incline on the straight makes it difficult to navigate for stayers. In short, quicker and more explosive horses who set the pace are more likely to prevail here, so it’s worth comparing the competing runners’ average times over relevant distances when analysing the form ahead of a particular race. This rule is also especially relevant when betting on short distance races that cover less than a mile, such as the Commonwealth Cup.

✅ See Who Frankie Dettori is Riding at Ascot

If there’s one jockey who’s synonymous with Ascot, it’s the legendary Frankie Dettori. At the time of writing, Dettori has completed 205 runs at Ascot and won 40 of these, with this translating into an impressive 20% win-rate. This is 7% higher than his nearest rival Ryan Moore (who has 37 wins from 285 starts at Ascot), while Dettori has also placed in 41% (84) of the races he has contested to date. Interestingly, Dettori’s haul includes his 2022 Coronation Stakes win with Inspiral, so he remains a key indicator of success in Ascot’s Grade 1 races ahead of his retirement at the end of the year.

🎁 Top Free Bets Offers for the Royal Ascot

Before you look to act on these betting tips, I’d also recommend that you compare the very latest Royal Ascot betting offers from Betinireland’s best sportsbooks. 🏁 Royal Ascot History

The prestigious Royal Ascot meeting evolved from the first ever four-day race event held at Ascot in 1768, while it began to formally take shape following the introduction of the Gold Cup in 1807. Interestingly, Royal Ascot was the only race meeting held at the racecourse until 1939, while this became a bumper, five-day event as recently as 2002.

Royal Ascot also boasts a sense of genuine pomp and grandeur, with each race day commencing with the Royal Procession at 2pm, when the monarch and selected members of the Royal Family arrive down the straight mile accompanied by a rousing rendition of the National Anthem. This tradition was started in 1825 by King George IV, and it remains popular to this day.

Over time, Royal Ascot has also evolved to become Britain’s most lucrative race meeting, with nearly €8 million expected to be available in total prize funds this year. The event now hosts 18 Group races (eight of them Group 1) in total, while more than 500 horses compete for their share of the spoils on average each year.

As I’ve already touched on, Frankie Dettori remains the most successful ever jockey at Ascot, while Andrew Balding has trained the most winners (31). Current trainers Charlie Appleby and Aidan O’Brien feature in the top five, claiming 28 and 23 races victories at Ascot with win percentages of 16% and 9% respectively.
