As can be seen from the schedule above, the Festival has plenty of races to keep horse racing betting fans happy all over the world. Over the course of the 5 days, hundreds of horses from all across the world, as well as top trainers, gather to provide the fans with entertainment galore. Not only is there a lot of money up for grabs for the jockeys, trainers, and owners of the horses, especially for those who will win the Royal Ascot Gold Cup in 2021, but horse racing fans can make a tidy profit if they know what to put their money on.

In the next section, we shall provide you with some betting tips that help improve your chances of winning some bets. However, before we do that, we are going to provide you with a table of odds for the biggest race of each day. In these tables, you will be able to find every runner, their odds from some of the best bookies around, as well as who the trainers are. It is good to get an idea as to who the favourites are for each race as well as who trained them because the trainer can be the difference between winning or losing.

Since we are still some distance away from the festival, the odds are not out yet. Additionally, the final lineup of horses for each race is not out yet, meaning we do not know exactly how many horses will be running in each event. Therefore, closer to the time, we will update all of the tables below with the relevant information as soon as the bookmakers send them to us.

Royal Ascot Tips

When it comes to betting on Ascot, you can jump right in and start betting without doing any research, but if you do this then you are just setting yourself up to fail. While it is true that you might win a race every now and then doing this, more often than not you will end up losing your bet. Below we are going to provide you with tips that you should keep in mind when you are deciding what horse to bet on.

The Trainer Stats

It is pretty obvious that the trainer plays a very important role when it comes to the performance of a horse in a race. For instance, Aidan O'Brien is considered to be one of the best trainers around based on the number of times a horse that he has trained has won the Gold Cup. He got his first win back in 2005 with Yeats and then he got three more wins with Yeats in 2007, 2008, and 2009. In 2011, 2014, and 2016 he won with Fame and Glory, then Leading Light, and then Order of St George. So, great Royal Ascot Gold Cup tips are to take a look at the horses in the race that he has trained.

The Jockey Stats

Jockeys have a less important role, but they are definitely not insignificant. Therefore, some other horse racing tips are to have a look at the stats of previous races and whether a certain jockey pops up time and time again. Frankie Dettori was the jockey that helped Stradivarius to Gold Cup victory in 2018 and 2019, while Ryan Moore rode Estimate and Order of St John to victory in 2013 and 2016. So, when you are thinking about betting on a race, take a moment to find out more about the jockey who will be riding the horse you want to bet on.

Some Tips for Each Day

Below we will provide you with some tips for the big races for each day.

Day 1 Tips: The big event on the Royal Ascot race card today is the Queen Anne Stakes and by looking at past trends you can get an idea as to who will have a chance of winning. The age of the last 8 winners of this race was 4, while 6 of the previous 12 winners have been favourites, while 10 of the last 12 winners have been in the top 3. To add to this, 6 of the previous 12 winners have won their last race, while 10 of the previous 12 winners raced within 31 days. Most importantly, 11 of the last 12 winners had 4 races over 1-mile, while 11 of the last 12 winners had at least one victory over 1-mile.

Day 2 Tips: The big race on this day is the Prince of Wales's Stakes and below are some tips for Wednesday. In this big event, 12 of the previous 12 winners have been 4 or 5 years old. Out of these 12 winners, 3 have been favourites, while 11 of them have been top 3 favourites. In addition to this, 8 of the previous winners have won their previous race, while 10 of the last 12 winners have placed in their last run. Also, 10 of the last 12 victors had 2 runs over 10f, while 11 of them had at least 1 victory over 10f. Take these Day Two tips on board when deciding on who you want to bet on.

Day 3 Tips: The big race on the third day of this event is the Gold Cup and below you can find some tips for Thursday. In this huge race, 11 of the previous 12 winners have been aged 4-6. When it comes to odds, 8 of the previous 12 winners have been favourites or joint-favourites, while 9 of them were in the top 3. Regarding their last run, 8 of the previous 12 winners won their previous race before the Royal Ascot, while 11 of the last 12 winners had run within the last 53 days. Also, and this is something we think you should pay particular attention to, 9 of the last 12 winners had one run at least once at Ascot, while 8 of them had one at least once at Ascot. Keep all this in mind when you are looking at Gold Cup runners.

Day 4 Tips: The main race on Day 4 is the Commonwealth Cup and below you will find some Royal Ascot Friday tips. Since this race is only for horses aged 3, all the winners have obviously been three years old. When it comes to odds, 2 of the previous 6 winners have started as favourites or joint-favourites, while 3 of the 6 have started the race in the top 3. Also, 2 of the last 6 winners have won their last race before the Commonwealth Cup, while 5 of the winners had taken part in a run in the last 48 days. One final trend is that all 6 winners had 3 previous races over 6f, with all 6 having at least one win of 6f. These Day 4 Royal Ascot tips can help you pick a winner for this big race.

Day 5 Tips: The main Day 5 race is the Diamond Jubilees Stakes and below are some racing tips you should keep in mind if you want to bet on this race this year. Of the last 12 winners, 12 of them have been aged 3-5. With regards to odds, 4 of the previous winners have been favourites or joint-favourites, while 8 of them have been in the top 3. Also, 11 of the last 12 winners have run at least 4 races over 6f, while 10 of them had at least 1 win over 6f.

Previews

Since the Royal Ascot is still some time away, the runners for each race have not been finalised yet, and as we draw closer to the big event, we will get a better picture as to the horses that will have the biggest potential to do well. Favourites change all the time as some horses lose form or pick up injuries that could have a negative impact on them come race week.

In the latest news, we take a look at some of the horses who are expected to run and do well as well as give you other news that can help you when you are betting on this huge meeting.

A P O'Brien Aims for Even More Success

Throughout his career, A P O'Brien has had so much success that he is considered to be one of the greatest horse trainers in the sport. Horses that he has trained have won 74 races at this festival, which really is legendary status. This includes a staggering 7 Gold Cup wins with Yeats (who won the race four years in a row), Giants Causeway, Gleneagles, and Rock of Gibraltar. If he wins the Gold Cup once more, he will enter the record books. He has been crowned the Top Trainer at Ascot 10 times, with 5 of these wins coming consecutively from 2015 to 2019. When you are looking at what horses to bet on at the 2021 Royal Ascot, you will not be hindering your chances of making money if you back a horse he trained.

John Gosden Hopes to Join an Elite Club

Stradivarius has won the Gold Cup the last three years, and he is trained by John Gosden. If Stradivarius goes on to win it once again in 2021, then Gosden will join A P O'Brien in the club of jockeys that have had a horse win the Gold Cup four times in a row. He has won more than 40 races at the Royal Ascot, and was the Top Trainer in 2020 with 6 wins at the festival. He will be hoping that he is as successful this time around.

The Early Favourites

There are some early favourites for the Gold Cup, and we take a look at these below:

Stradivarius: He has won the Gold Cup for the last three years in a row. With Frankie Detorri as his jockey and if Gosden can keep him free of injury, then he will definitely be a hot favourite with horse racing fans this year.

Battassh: He is one of the world's fastest flat racing horses, and he got his first win at the Ascot in 2020. If he lines up in 2021, he will be a firm favourite - it is expected that he will race in the King's Stand Stakes in an attempt to defend his title.

Palace Pier: Anyone who knows anything about horse racing will know just how talented this horse is. He won the St James's Palace Stakes last year, beating the race favourite, Pinatubo. He then travelled to France and won the Jacques Le Marois race.

Lord North: He is held in high regard and will attempt to be just the fourth horse ever to be victorious in multiple Prince of Wales's Stakes titles. The last time this feat was done was in 1995, so he has a chance to make history. To date, he has had a solid 2021 season and you can never discount a horse that is trained by Gosden.

Attendance Will Likely be Limited

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, it is highly unlikely that they will be accepting full attendance at the grounds this year. It is likely they will have a much-reduced capacity limit, meaning that you are probably going to end up watching the events from home. Thankfully, there are plenty of ways that you can watch all the action.

Freeview: You will be able to find all of the races on a Freeview channel such as ITV or Channel 4. Check closer to the time to see who will be covering all of the races from this prestigious event.

Racing TV: When it comes to horse racing channels in Ireland and the United Kingdom, this is the main one as it covers meetings from 35 different racetracks in the United Kingdom and 26 racetracks throughout Ireland. Each year they show their viewers more than 8,000 races, with many being shown only on this channel. British horse racing fans can watch this channel if they are Sky or Virgin customers, while Irish horse racing fans can watch it if they are Sky, Virgin, or Vodafone customers.

Sportsbooks: Betting on the horses is a pastime that is now so popular that all the best bookmakers around offer a variety of live streams for horse racing events around the world. All the best bookmakers will stream events from the Royal Ascot, so you just have to log into your account in order to enjoy them.

A Look Back at the Previous Year

The Gold Cup at the 2020 Royal Ascot was won by Stradivarius, for the third year in a row. He was being raced by the extremely successful Frankie Dettori and was trained by John Gosden, who won the Top Trainer award, having picked up six wins. As we mentioned above, he will be one of the favourites to win it this year as well.
