We have already looked at the Queen Anne Stakes and the world-famous Royal Ascot Gold Cup in this series of Royal Ascot previews, but it is now time to look at the final day’s feature race, the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes.
In this preview to the race we will show you the latest odds and some of the main runners as well as give you our own Queen Elizabeth II Stakes prediction on who we think is going to take home the 2026 renewal.
🪄 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes Prediction
The feature of the final day’s action at Royal Ascot, the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, is a Group 1 contest run over 6 furlongs open to horses aged four or over and three-year-olds foaled in Australia. The race is often viewed as a happy hunting ground for international sprinters looking to have that big success at the Royal meeting, and that is reflected in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes runners again this year.
With regard to this year’s race, our Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes prediction is for a win for Japanese raider Satono Reve. The Noriyuki Hori-trained seven-year-old ran a blinder to come second behind winner Lazzat last year, and we think he can go one better this year.
The horse warmed up for a tilt at this race by landing a Group 1 event in Chukyo at the end of March and by chasing home superstar Ka Ying Rising in Hong Kong at the end of April. He has been stationed in Newmarket in preparation for Ascot and is said to be wowing spectators with his work on the gallops. The way he and Lazzat pulled clear of the rest of the field last year shows his liking for the Ascot 6-furlong race, and even with some high-level competition once again this year, we think Japan could be celebrating a Queen Elizabeth II Stakes winner by the end of this year’s race. The horse is currently priced at around 6.00 with some of the best betting sites in Ireland, a price we think is more than appealing as we countdown to the race.
🏆 OUR PREDICTION: SATONO REVE TO WIN 🏆
🎯 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes Betting Preview
The race always attracts a lot of international interest due to the line-ups that usually take to the start every year, and this year is no exception when we look at the latest Queen Elizabeth II Stakes betting odds. Three of the top four Queen Elizabeth II Stakes favourites are internationally trained, with Australia’s Joliestar the current market leader for one of the biggest sprints in horse racing.
As we have said, Satono Reve is our pick, but he is not the only high-calibre horse in the race. Below we will take you through three more well-fancied Queen Elizabeth II Stakes tips ahead of the race on June 20th.
Remember, before having a bet on any of this year’s Royal Ascot races, why not check out our comprehensive bookmaker reviews page? Here, lots of extra information about many of the top sportsbooks around can be found.
1️ Joliestar/Chris Waller
The Australian raider is fresh off a hat trick of big race wins in Randwick, the last of which came on April 4th, and is looking to give trainer Chris Waller a second Royal Ascot win after his King’s Stand victory in 2022. She will also be looking to follow in the footsteps of fellow Aussie sprinters Black Caviar and Choisir. The form of her Australian wins suggests her form has gone to a new level as a five-year-old, and she looks to have the required tactical speed for the race. She has been made the favourite for the race, and it is easy to see why.

2️ Comanche Brave/ Donnacha O’Brien
Donnacha O’Brien’s globetrotting four-year-old has come in for some renewed support ahead of the race on June 20th. A fifth-place finisher behind the world’s most famous sprinter Ka Ying Rising back in March, a race in which our tip Satono Reve was second, Comanche Brave got back to winning ways on home soil when he won the Group 2 Weatherby’s Ireland Greenlands Stakes at the Curragh on May 23rd. That has put him spot on for a tilt at this race, according to his trainer, at a track he has form on, having come third in last year’s Jersey Stakes at the festival.

3️ Lake Forest/William Haggas
William Haggas and Brighton and Hove Albion owner Tony Bloom will look to score another huge racing win for Bloom when their sprinter Lake Forest lines up for the race. The horse was a respectable fifth in last year’s Queen Anne Stakes, but the trainer decided to drop him down in trip this year, and the gamble has paid off. The horse won on his reappearance at Haydock over 7 furlongs, and that form has been franked by the two horses behind him at Haydock finishing first and second at Epsom in the Tattenham Corner Stakes.
