2024/25 Premier League Best Performing Players
GK: David Raya – Arsenal
The Arsenal stopper picked up his 2nd successive Golden Glove, sharing this season’s award with another of the year’s best keepers, Nottingham Forest’s Mats Sels. Raya kept 13 clean sheets as Arsenal finished 2nd for the third year in a row. The 29-year-old made 86 saves and had the 3rd highest sweeper clearances with 33. He also had 1,599 touches and 1,236 passes, ranking him in the Top 5 for goalkeepers in both categories.
RWB: Daniel Munoz – Crystal Palace
A fantastic individual season for Munoz was topped off when Crystal Palace won the 2025 FA Cup, the club’s first major honour. The Colombian scored 4 goals and had 5 assists as he set up an exciting partnership down the Palace right-hand side with Ismaila Sarr. He also had the 2nd highest touches of any Palace player with 2,107 and the 3rd highest number of passes with 1,137, behind only Marc Guehi and Maxence Lacroix.
CB: Nikola Milenkovic – Nottingham Forest
Forest paid a reported £12 million for the former Fiorentina man when they signed him in 2024, but he has quickly stood out as one of the best defenders in the league. He won 101 aerial duels and had 102 headed clearances as he helped Forest become the 5th best defence in the league, conceding just 46 goals. He also contributed in the opposition box, scoring 5 goals, the joint highest for a defender.
CB: Virgil van Dijk – Liverpool
The Liverpool captain almost became the first man to play every minute of every game in 2 title-winning seasons before Arne Slot rested him against Brighton in their penultimate game. Once again, he stood out as one of the best defenders around with a league-high 2,923 passes and 3,347 touches. He also ranked 2nd with Nathan Collins for aerial battles won with 119, 1st for centre-halves in interceptions with 60 and 4th in headed clearances with 113.
CB: Murillo – Nottingham Forest
The Brazilian firmly established himself as a key part of Nottingham Forest’s team as they finished 7th and qualified for the 2025/26 UEFA Conference League. He topped the League charts for clearances and off-the-line clearances with 242 and 3, respectively, while he ranked joint 2nd for most last man tackles with 4.
LWB: Milos Kerkez – Bournemouth
What a season it has been for Bournemouth full-back Milos Kerkez. He was vital to Andoni Iraola’s high-octane brand of football at Bournemouth, contributing 5 assists, ranking him 5th for assists by defenders in the League. With his performances and potential, it will be no surprise to see him joining his former teammate Dean Huijsen in being picked up by a Champions League club soon.
CM: Ryan Gravenberch – Liverpool
One of the standout players of the season, Gravenberch benefited from a positional switch from new Liverpool manager Arne Slot. Stationed as one of his team’s holding midfielders, the Dutch international excelled as his side went on to win the 2024/25 Premier League. Gravenberch featured in all but one of Liverpool’s league games and topped the charts for interceptions by midfielders with 60. He also won the ball back 193 times and had the 4th most passes by a midfielder with 1,904.
The easiest name to include in this all-star list, Salah enjoyed one of the finest individual seasons a player has experienced in Premier League history.
CM: Moises Caicedo – Chelsea
Eyebrows may have been raised when Chelsea paid Brighton a reported £115 million for the Ecuadorian midfielder in 2023, but after his displays in a Chelsea shirt this season, few are commenting on his price now. Caicedo is still only 23 but has already cemented himself as one of the most dynamic and combative midfielders the league has seen. He ranks in the Top 5 midfielders for both interceptions and tackles, while he had the most passes of any midfielder in the Premier League with 2,153.
RW: Mo Salah – Liverpool
The easiest name to include in this all-star list, Salah enjoyed one of the finest individual seasons a player has experienced in Premier League history. His 47 goal contributions, 29 goals and 18 assists are a record for a 38-game season in England, while his total also matches the 42-game record set by Andrew Cole and Alan Shearer. His exploits won him the Premier League Player of the Season, the Golden Boot and Playmaker awards, the first time a player has won all 3 prizes in the same season.
LW: Bryan Mbeumo – Brentford
The Brentford star generally plays off the right flank, but we had to include the Cameroon international after his stellar season. The 25-year-old hit 20 goals and 7 assists, breaking the record for goals and assists combined for a Brentford player in the Premier League. He also created 17 big chances for his club, ranking him 4th overall.
ST: Alexander Isak – Newcastle United
Isak’s 3rd season in a Newcastle shirt has undoubtedly been his best. The Sweden international finished the season with 23 goals, his best return as a professional player. He also aided his team with 6 assists, meaning the former Real Sociedad striker had 29 Premier League goal involvements, second only to Salah’s 47.
