Friday, the 20th of October will see the first semi-final of the 2023 Rugby World Cup. We have two teams in this match that surprised us to get to this stage, with Argentina v New Zealand. We will see how they get on when the first whistle blows at 8 p.m.
Angus Gardner will be taking over refereeing duties in Saint-Denis. He will be assisted on the touch lines by Nic Berry and Karl Dickson. Taking over the TMO role will be Ben Whitehouse.
Los Pumas and the All Blacks have played a total of 36 times to date, with the latter winning 33 times to two. There has also been one draw. July 2023 was the last time the two sides faced off, with the Kiwis proving better off, 12-41. History would certainly seem to tell you that this should be a no-brainer for an All Blacks win, but do the Argentinians have something up their sleeves that would suggest otherwise? Let's find out with my Argentina v New Zealand prediction.

🔍 Argentina v New Zealand Winner Prediction
The Argentinians will not be happy with the time they have for preparation for this match due to travel restrictions, given they will have three days compared to the All Blacks having four. Will this be the ultimate deciding factor for this game?
The world rankings would not seem to think so. With New Zealand in second and Argentina in seventh, the oracle of world rugby would seem to think this game is already decided. Let's find out why.
Both teams have had a fantastic run of form in the competition so far, winning four out of five games apiece, but it seems the All Blacks have gone one step further. The Kiwis have shown near total dominance with their overall points difference of + 210 versus +70. We also have to consider that Argentina arguably had the easier game of the two qualifying quarter-finals for this game, having come face-to-face against Wales, compared to New Zealand having the last laugh against Ireland, the former world number-one team.
This is going to be a bloody encounter where, as the quarter-finals proved, anything can happen. Nevertheless, New Zealand are now odds-on favourites to win this match, and I can see the three-time World Cup winners putting in a fine performance that sees them through to the grand final. For me, the All Blacks will polish off the penultimate step to glory by 25 points.
✔️ Argentina v New Zealand Betting Tips
1️⃣ Match Winner: New Zealand to Win
Normally, I would not touch odds as low as New Zealand to win at 1.12 at Dachbet, but seeing as this is a special occasion for the first semi-final, I think I would be tempted to place a small bet on the All Blacks.
2️⃣ Handicap Winner: New Zealand to Win (-21.5)
I think the All Blacks are going to be sitting pretty, going into the final, by the end of 80 minutes - so much so that there should be a 25-point difference. By that thinking, I like the look of New Zealand to win (-21.5) at 2.40 at Betway.
