Match prediction 44 of 48 of our Rugby World Cup 2023 betting series.
Steven's prediction accuracy 2023: ✔️ 85.14%.
Quarter-final four comes to the Rugby World Cup 2023 on Sunday, the 15th of October. We are in for a rugby festival for this one when we will see France v South Africa at the Stade de France. These are two giants of rugby, as we have the favourites to lift the Webb Ellis Cup this time against the defending world champions. Kick-off for this exciting game will be at 8 p.m. IST.
Ben O'Keeffe will take charge of this match, with his New Zealand counterparts, Paul Williams and James Doleman watching the touch lines. Brendon Pickerill will take up TMO duties.
The two teams have met on 45 occasions, with South Africa winning 27 times and France winning 12. The two teams have also drawn six times. The Springboks may therefore seem the likely winners to make it to the semi-finals, but I think France may have some ideas about that, which they will be more than willing to share on the pitch. Who will be one step closer to glory at the end of the 80 minutes? Without further ado, I give you my France v South Africa prediction.

🔍 France v South Africa Winner Prediction
The world rankings place France in second and South Africa in third. It would appear that the great oracle thinks the French look more likely to come away with victory, but with so little difference, can we really read much into this?
Some great news emerging from the French camp is that the golden boy of world rugby and French talisman, Antoine Dupont has been cleared to start training and should be available for Sunday's game after having surgery on his cheek bone on the 22nd of September. The final decision will be down to the scrum-half, but this would be a huge boost to France, should he play.
In South Africa's case, there is not much news to report, aside from the growing controversy around Head Coach Jacques Nienaber's comments about potential match fixing in the lead-up to the Ireland v Scotland game. None of these accusations seemed to come to light after the Irish smashed the Scots, 36-14, however, so, fingers crossed, this issue will now be put to bed. Either way, I will leave this one to the appropriate ruling bodies to sort out.
The last tick in the box for France is that they will be playing at home. As sure as eggs are eggs, the 16th man will be out in force in Paris. French fans have been heard in good cheer at every match in the World Cup, and there will be a sea of supporters for Les Bleus for this gladiatorial encounter.
This is going to be one hell of a game to watch, but forced to pick a result, I would go with France to win by six points.
✔️ France v South Africa Betting Tips
1️⃣ Match Winner: France to Win
Everything is pointing to this year being France's chance finally to lift the Webb Ellis Cup, and I have no doubt that they will carry on that path on Sunday. I would be confident having a punt on France to win at 1.83 at Betway, as I think there are very competitive odds on offer.
2️⃣ Handicap Winner: France to Win (-3.5)
I think two penalties' worth will be the deciding factor in this match, so with a six-point difference, I think France to win (-3.5) at 2.12 at TonyBet Sports could be a good shout. This game will go to the wire, however, and there are no guarantees in rugby. Please be aware of these things before you place any bet, and remember to gamble responsibly.
