Kerry and Meath are set to face off at O’Connor Park in Tullamore on June 14th, with the top position in Group 2 of the 2025 All-Ireland SFC group stages at stake. Kerry enters the match with 4 points from two victories against Roscommon and Cork. Meanwhile, Meath has earned 3 points after winning against Cork and drawing with Roscommon. The team that finishes in 1st place in the group will secure an automatic spot in this year’s All-Ireland quarterfinals, while the losing team will have to settle for a preliminary quarterfinal position.

In this preview to the match, we will give you everything you need to know ahead of the 16:15 GMT throw-in on June 14th. Read on for our prediction, along with the very latest Kerry v Meath betting odds from a selection of the best betting sites on the market.

🏆 Kerry v Meath Prediction

Kerry are favourites for this year’s All-Ireland with Ireland’s best betting sites. Given the form they have shown all year, it’s hard to disagree. They seem to have taken to the new rules as well as anybody and have forwards like the Clifford brothers, Paul Geaney, and Sean O’Shea to strike fear into any team in the country.

The Kingdom are two from two in Group 2 so far, after a 3-18 – 0-17 win over Roscommon and a 1-28 – 0-20 win over Cork. Meath currently sit 2nd in the group and have the comfort of knowing they have qualified for at least the preliminary quarterfinals. An opening 1-13 – 0-12 Group 2 win was followed by a thrilling 2-15 – 0-21 draw with Roscommon, as Robbie Brennan’s team put the disappointment of their Leinster Final defeat to Louth behind them.

Meath will head to Tullamore hungry to put it up to Kerry and show no fear of the All-Ireland favourites. With Kerry’s class and form, only a handful of teams can match them in this year’s Championship. Meath are not currently one of them. Therefore, our Kerry v Meath All-Ireland SFC prediction is Kerry to win, to make it 3 wins from 3.

OUR PREDICTION: 🏆 KERRY TO WIN 🏆

✔️ Kerry v Meath Betting Tips

At this stage in our prediction, we are now going to give you three Kerry v Meath betting tips that will hopefully point you in the right direction ahead of the match in Tullamore. Kerry are heavy favourites to pick up the win, and that is what we expect to happen. With that in mind, our tips are all based around the fact that we believe the Kingdom will prove far too strong for Meath when they face off at O’Connor Park.

  • Tip 1: Kerry – 8 handicap: Although Meath should give a good account of themselves in Tullamore, it’s hard to see the Royals being able to live with the class and scoring power of Kerry for the whole 70 minutes. There were 15 points between them in last year’s Championship, and even if Meath has improved since then, and the winning margin should not be as large again, it’s clear there is still a big gulf between the teams. The handicap is set at 8 points, and that seems achievable for this Kerry side. If you agree, there is a price of 2.00 with DirectionBet on Kerry beating the handicap.
  • Tip 2: David Clifford to score a goal anytime: Clifford has hit 2-11 in his two group matches to date, and we expect him to have another major impact on this game also. The new rules seem to suit the Kingdom’s star forward perfectly, so expect Clifford to be at the forefront of any goal action that takes place in the match.
  • Tip 3: Paudie Clifford to be named Man of the Match: Kerry’s last match against Cork was the first time we got to see Paudie in the Kerry forward line alongside his brother, Sean O’Shea, and Paul Geaney in this year’s Championship. They hit 1-28 in that match, and although Paudie was withdrawn after 34 minutes, the prospect of those 4 combining as the Championship progresses is a frightening thought for all of Kerry’s rivals. If Paudie takes to the field against Meath, keep an eye on the MOTM market.

⚽ Kerry Squad Form

Kerry were forced into several substitutions against Cork in their last match, with Barry Dan O’Sullivan, Paudie Clifford and Paul Geaney all withdrawn through injury. Added to the injury already sustained by Diarmuid O’Connor, there are potential problems for Jack O’Connor that are unwelcome as we move into the knockout stages of this year’s Championship.

What was welcome for Kerry in their 1-28 – 0-20 win was the fact that they hit seven 2-pointers in the game. Adding the ability to score regularly from outside the arc will make their already dangerous attack even more so for opposition defences.

⚽ Meath Squad Form

Meath go into the game knowing they have at least a preliminary quarterfinal all sewn up after their first two results. Their 1-13 – 0-12 win over Cork set them up nicely for the group, while their 2-15 – 0-21 draw with Roscommon was an exhibition of long-range shooting. Ten 2-pointers were scored between the two teams as they played out one of the most dramatic matches of the summer.

James Conlon was superb against Roscommon, and with the likes of Matthew Costelloe, Eoghan Frayne, and Jordan Morris also in their ranks, Meath certainly have scoring prowess as we move into knockout football.
