The third of an exciting All Ireland SFC quarter-final double header taking place at Croke Park on Saturday, June 27th, is the intriguing meeting of old rivals Kerry and Tyrone. Kerry had a statement win over rivals Armagh in Round 3 to book their quarter-final spot, while Tyrone sealed their place in the last eight through a late Niall Morgan free in Omagh against Mayo. Paddy Neilan is the referee for the match with GAA+ broadcasting the match live.

In this preview to what should be a great match between these two great adversaries, we will show you the latest odds as well as give you some Kerry v Tyrone tips ahead of the match. We will also give you our Kerry v Tyrone prediction, so read on as we get ready for what should be a blockbuster weekend of Gaelic Football in Croke Park.

🪄 Kerry vs Tyrone Prediction

This could be the tie of the quarter-finals in this year’s All-Ireland SFC. Old rivals Kerry and Tyrone meet yet again at Croke Park, in what will be the 6th meeting of the teams at GAA HQ in 11 years. Kerry put up arguably the performance of the season so far in their 2nd-half demolition of All-Ireland rivals Armagh in Killarney, with the Kingdom hitting 2-10 of their 4-18 total in the 2nd half. David Clifford looked unstoppable at times, but he was backed up by a great performance by Dylan Geaney as well as Paul Geaney and Joe O’Connor.

Their defence also marshalled Armagh’s attacking plan effectively with Oisin Conaty and Conor Turbitt restricted to 6 points. That confidence in defence will be needed against Tyrone as well, as Malachy O’Rourke’s men contain potentially match-winning forwards in Eoin McElholm, Darren McCurry and Darragh Canavan.

Tyrone’s defenders will be up against it also, however, with the Ulstermen's plans to contain the two Cliffords and Joe O’Connor crucial to their chances. Tyrone have one of the best midfield partnerships in Ireland in Brian Kennedy and Conn Kilpatrick, but Kerry have options in Mark O’Shea, Sean O’Brien, Diarmuid O’Connor and Joe O’Connor to try and combat the Tyrone pair’s influence. How that midfield battle goes could have major bearing on the final result, as both forward lines are capable of causing havoc with good ball.

Kerry probably have greater options in how they attack, though, and that could be the difference. If Kerry lose the midfield battle, you fancy they can still get enough moments of magic from their forward line to win the match, but can the same be said for Tyrone? Winning that midfield battle is key to Tyrone, but our Kerry v Tyrone All-Ireland prediction is for a Kerry win after a hard-fought high-scoring battle.

Both are capable of hitting great heights in Croke Park; we just think Kerry can get that little bit higher.

OUR PREDICTION:🏆 KERRY TO WIN 🏆

⚡ Kerry vs Tyrone Betting Tips

Whether you are looking for the best Kerry v Tyrone bets or you simply have some free bets to use on the match, below we are going to show you three Kerry v Tyrone betting tips ahead of what should be a titanic struggle at GAA HQ.

Remember, before having a bet, why not first check out our very own bookmaker reviews page? Here, you can find extra information about many of the top betting sites we have listed.

  • Tip 1: Double Result Tyrone HT/Kerry FT: Though we expect Kerry to come through in the end, we think Tyrone will make life extremely difficult for the All-Ireland favourites in Croke Park. This looks tailor-made for Tyrone. They are heading into Croke Park with no one giving them a chance, but they certainly have the class and mentality to put it up to Kerry. We see the Ulster side coming out strong, attempting to leave a marker on Kerry, and it wouldn’t shock us to see them leading at half-time before Kerry look to make their move in the second half.

We expect it to be tight between the teams, so to back Tyrone HT/ Kerry FT, you can currently get a price of 6.50 with BoyleSports.

  • Tip 2: David Clifford to score a goal anytime: It is becoming a recurring theme picking Clifford as an anytime goalscorer, but such is his class, he keeps on providing us with goals. He hit 1-10 against Armagh to bring his tally in this year’s championship to 4-31, and it will be a shock if he doesn’t have a huge impact on what happens in Croke Park against Tyrone. To back Clifford to score a goal, you can get a price of 2.00 with BoyleSports on him doing so at any stage throughout the match.

  • Tip 3: Over 2.5 Goals: Both sides have hit 14 goals between them so far in this year’s championship, and with the forwards on show in what should be an attacking match, we expect there to be plenty more in this game. Kerry have David Clifford, whom we talked about above, as well as Paul Geaney and Joe O’Connor rampaging from half-forward, while Tyrone have the threat of Eoin McElholm, Mattie Donnelly and Darragh Canavan. With those kinds of threats, it will be a surprise if we don’t see plenty of green flags on June 27th.

If you agree, you can get a price of 1.75 with DirectionBet on there being over 2.5 goals.

🔮 Kerry Squad Form

Kerry sent out a warning to the rest of the All-Ireland contenders with that drubbing of Armagh in Round 3. Armagh were some pundit’s idea of All-Ireland champions this year, but Kerry’s class shone through, with David Clifford hitting 1-10. Dylan Geaney put in one of his most impressive performances in a Kerry shirt while the likes of Gavin Whyte, Sean O’Shea and Armin Heinrich got minutes off the bench, giving greater depth to what is looking like a frighteningly good Kerry squad this year.

🎯 Tyrone Squad Form

Tyrone may have lost their Ulster SFC preliminary round match against Armagh, but since then they have responded by winning their two matches in the All-Ireland series thus far. They beat a fancied Roscommon side away from home in Round 1 before Niall Morgan struck late to defeat Mayo in Round 2A in Omagh. They have quietly gone about their business, with Ronan Cassidy impressing in the half-forward line against Mayo and substitute Darren McCurry making a huge impact off the bench with 6 points.

That performance from McCurry will certainly have given O’Rourke something to think about when it comes to his starting team against Kerry. He also has Darragh Canavan to call on either from the bench or starting, so Tyrone are looking strong as they look ahead to their meeting with Kerry in Croke Park.
