In this preview, we will highlight for you the latest odds, predicted line-ups, some Louth v Armagh betting tips and who we think will emerge with the win, so read on as we look forward to this intriguing Round 2 match.
🎯 Louth vs Armagh Prediction
Louth got their season back on track with their fabulous win over Dublin in Round 1 and will hope to match that intensity once again when they face off against Armagh in Round 2A. If they can match or better that second-half showing in particular, it would be foolish to write them off, but Armagh are viewed as many people’s favourites for this year’s All-Ireland, and Kieran McGeeney and his charges will be keen to maintain their winning ways when they visit Inniskeen. Armagh’s form and their greater experience of high-intensity battles in recent years may just give them the edge over Louth, however, and that is why our Louth v Armagh All-Ireland SFC prediction is for an Armagh victory.
That Louth win over Dublin was one of the Wee County’s most significant championship wins in many years and, alongside their Leinster success from 2025, shows a county on the up, but whether that will be enough to halt Armagh’s progress this year is doubtful. Gavin Devlin got great showings from Sam Mulroy and Ciarán Downey, who managed to control large parts of that second half for Louth, but controlling the middle third against Armagh is a completely different challenge to Dublin. Armagh generally thrive when they can dominate that middle third and launch quick attacks into the likes of Oisín Conaty. They were criticised during the league for not being ruthless enough in front of goal, but when they are on form, they can produce quick scoring bursts that can tilt a match in their favour. Nowhere was that more evident than in the Ulster final when the Orchard County hit 1-7 to Monaghan’s solitary point in extra time to clinch their first Ulster title since 2008.
If Louth can limit the bursts of scoring that Armagh are capable of and have a defensive structure that can frustrate Armagh, we could be in a close-run battle in Inniskeen on June 14th, but given Armagh’s form and the overall strength of their panel, it’s hard to see anything else but Armagh clinching their place in this year’s quarter-finals.

⚡⚡ Louth v Armagh Betting Tips
At this stage of our preview we are going to highlight some of the best Louth v Armagh bets available for punters ahead of the match on June 14th.
Remember, before betting on this match or any game throughout the championship, why not first check out our bookmaker reviews page? Here, extra information about many of the best betting sites can be found.
- Tip 1: Louth +6 Handicap Betting: We fancy Armagh to get the win, but we don’t think we will see a repeat of Louth’s heavy 10-point defeat against Dublin in the Leinster semi-final or Armagh’s easy wins against Down and Fermanagh in Ulster. We expect this to be a hard-fought championship tussle between one of the favourites for the All-Ireland in Armagh and a Louth side capable of making life tricky for Kieran McGeeney’s team. To back Louth +6, you can currently get a price of 1.83 with BoyleSports.
- Tip 2: Conor Turbitt to score a goal anytime: An All-Star in 2024, Turbitt looks to be in dangerous form once again this year for Armagh. The Clann Éireann man has scored 3-22 already this year, and alongside Oisin Conaty, he will be a major scoring threat for Armagh as they bid for their second All-Ireland win in three years.
- Tip 3: Bet on Both Teams Scoring a Goal: Both teams have been fond of finding the back in this year’s championship, with Armagh hitting 9 goals so far this season and Louth finding the back of the net on 5 occasions up to now. If both forward lines can hit top gear and the likes of Craig Lennon and Tiarnan Kelly can find space running from deep, the match umpires may be in for a busy day lifting green flags on June 14th.
To back both teams to score a goal, you can get a price of 1.62 with BoyleSports.
🪄 Louth Squad Form
Louth were dismal in surrendering their Leinster crown against Dublin in their Leinster semi-final meeting back in May, but they fairly made up for that loss with their victory over the Dubs in Round 1 of the All-Ireland series. A terrific second-half display from Louth, in which they came back from six points down was the backbone of their great win, their first championship win over Dublin for 53 years. As ever, Sam Mulroy and Craig Lennon were instrumental in the win, but Gavin Devlin also got huge performances from the likes of Ciarán Downey, James Maguire, Dara McDonnell and second-half substitute Ciarán Byrne, who hit three huge points and was named man of the match for his heroic display.
✨ Armagh Squad Form
Armagh would have been weary after watching fellow provincial champions Kerry and Roscommon lose their Round 1 matches, but Kieran McGeeney’s men had no such trouble in defeating Derry to set up their Round 2 clash with Louth. McGeeney made one change from the side that beat Monaghan in the Ulster final, with Gareth Murphy coming in for the injured Paddy Burns.
🥇 Louth vs Armagh Predicted Lineups
Both sides claimed victories in their Round 1 fixtures. Louth produced a terrific second half performance to get the better of Dublin in what was their second meeting within a month, while Armagh routinely dealt with Derry in their Round 1 match to set up this clash in Inniskeen.
Below are the two starting 15s that both sides used in their opening wins in this year’s All-Ireland series.
