We will also provide you with our very own Kerry v Armagh prediction, so read on as we countdown to what is a genuine heavyweight clash in this year’s already pulsating football championship.

🎯 Kerry vs Armagh

What a Gaelic Football Championship it has been so far in 2026, and we could be in for one of the year’s standout matches as two of the leading lights meet in Killarney. The prize on offer may only be a place in the last 8, but for the loser earlier exit than anyone expected is on the cards. Armagh’s last-gasp loss to Louth in Inniskeen in their Round 2A meeting on June 14th has led to them facing the arduous trip to Kerry to play a Kerry team who looked more like their old selves in their comfortable 3-22–0-17 win over Kildare.

The fact that Jack O’Connor was able to get more game time into some of his returning players like Joe O’Connor, Paudie Clifford and Paul Geaney will aid Kerry’s hopes after their heavy loss to Donegal in Round 1, and that returning confidence is one of the reasons our Kerry v Armagh All-Ireland football prediction is for a Kerry win to take one of their big rivals for Sam Maguire out before we have reached Croke Park.

Kerry have shown that a big loss can sharpen their minds. Think back to last year when Meath beat them during the group phase. After that loss, they played Armagh, Tyrone and Donegal, beating all three to win the All-Ireland. Kerry fans will hope that something similar happens again this year, and with their squad looking like it is getting stronger with every round, it is hard to argue that something like last year won’t happen again. If Kerry can get their full complement on the field, they are still the country’s most dangerous team, and this match with Armagh gives them a great opportunity to show it again.

Armagh will be devastated about losing that game with Louth. They looked the likeliest winners for much of it but will be disheartened by the fact that they were unable to put clear daylight between themselves and Louth. Some sloppy attacking play meant they never pulled away, and if they are as sloppy again against Kerry, they will be punished yet again. They certainly have the class to go to Kerry and win, a win which would set them perfectly for another tilt at Sam, but that defeat to Louth highlighted some potential flaws in Armagh’s game.

With the improving Kerry mood and fitness report, they are not the kind of outfit any team with some doubts wants to be visiting. Whatever happens, we should be in for a cracking match in Killarney, a match we think Kerry will just about edge in the end.

OUR PREDICTION: KERRY TO WIN

✨ Kerry vs Armagh Betting Odds

Despite the struggles they have had so far, Kerry are favourites for this clash with Armagh when we look at the latest Kerry v Armagh betting odds. Home advantage may be playing a major role in that market confidence, but Armagh fans need only look to Donegal’s win in Killarney in Round 1 for some confidence ahead of their side’s visit to Fitzgerald Stadium.

Jack O’Connor’s Kerry team can currently be backed at around 1.54 with FestivalPlay, while the visitors are available at around 3.00 with BoyleSports.

⚡ Kerry vs Armagh Betting Tips

Given the magnitude of the match in Killarney, we thought it would be a good idea to help you out ahead of the match. That is why we have listed three of our best Kerry v Armagh betting tips below so that you have as much information as possible before placing your bet. Whether you have some free bet offers you want to take advantage of or just want to have a bet on this mammoth clash in this year’s championship, we have you covered.

Remember, before betting on this match or any GAA match throughout the championship, why not first check out our online bookmaker reviews page? Here, extra information about many of the best betting sites can be found.

  • Tip 1: Kerry to Win by 1-3 points: As we have said, we think Kerry can just about edge it against Armagh on June 20th. There is very little to choose between the teams, however, and that is why we think the Kingdom will emerge by the narrowest of winning margins. Armagh will be keen to avenge their defeat against Louth and will put it up to the home side, and it wouldn’t be a major shock if it was Armagh by the slimmest of margins, but we think it will be Kerry by the end of play in Killarney.

If you agree, you can get a price of 4.50 with BoyleSports on Kerry winning by 1-3 points.

  • Tip 2: David Clifford to score a goal anytime: The Fossa man had a quiet enough game by his standards against Kildare but still ended up with 1-4 to his name in Newbridge. This is a huge game for Kerry, and that is usually when the biggest star in modern GAA shines brightest. In the knockout rounds of the 2025 championship, Clifford was immense, scoring 4-32 against Cavan, Armagh, Tyrone and Donegal as he led Kerry to another All-Ireland. If Kerry are to get goals against Armagh, it will be no surprise if it is Clifford finding the back of the net. To back Clifford to score anytime during the match, you can get a price of 2.10 with BoyleSports.

  • Tip 3: Over 2.5 Goals: Both these sides are more than capable of finding the back of the net. In fact, between them they have scored 17 goals in this year’s championship to date, so we should expect plenty of goalmouth action when they meet in Killarney on June 20th. If you agree, you can get a price of 1.83 with BoyleSports on there being over 2.5 goals in the match.

🧨 Kerry Squad Form

Kerry made three changes to the team that lost to Donegal for their Round 2B clash with Kildare. Brian Ó Beaglaoich came in for Tadhg Morley, Joe O’Connor replaced Micheál Burns, and Paul Geaney took Keith Evans’ place. The fact that Jack O’Connor could get meaningful gametime into Joe O’Connor, Paudie Clifford, Paul Geaney, Gavin White and Armin Heinrich will boost Kerry ahead of the Armagh game. Seán O’Shea and Tom O’Sullivan did not feature, and Kerry fans will be eager to find out if two of their most important players can make it back in time.

🎈 Armagh Squad Form

Kieran McGeeney made two changes to the Armagh side from the team that beat Derry in Round 1 for their Round 2A meeting with neighbours Louth. Ross McQuillan came in for Andrew Murnin, while Ethan Rafferty was picked in goals in place of Blaine Hughes. Their problems in out fielding and winning the breaking balls against Louth told a tale for Armagh as an area that is so key to their success malfunctioned, meaning they could never pull away from the Wee County in the way they would have hoped. Their inability to finish the game off left the door ajar for Louth, and that is certainly something they will need to work on travelling south to Kerry.

🎰 Kerry vs Armagh Predicted Lineups

The two teams had contrasting fortunes in their Round 2 matches, with Armagh losing their Round 2A match with Louth, while Kerry defeated Kildare in their Round 2B clash.
