⚽ All-Ireland Senior Football Team Overviews
There are a total of 12 teams taking part in the All-Ireland knockout stage, and while each one will fancy their chances of going on to lift the title as they have done well to get to this stage of the competition, some really are just making up the numbers. For instance, there is little chance of Kildare, Donegal, and Roscommon are going to get their hands on the trophy. In this section of my All-Ireland Championship outright betting guide, I am going to take a closer look at the three favourites.
▶ Kerry
If you look at the odds for the All-Ireland Football outright betting market in the table above, then you will see that Kerry are one of the bookmakers' favourites to go on and lift the title. This is not that surprising when you consider the history that Kerry have in this prestigious event as well as the way that they have been playing as of late. They are the reigning champions and have lifted the title on no fewer than 38 occasions. They won the Munster Championship for the 84th time, easily beating Tipperary and Clare to book themselves a spot in the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship.
They were placed in Group 1 alongside Cork, Mayo, and Louth and they finished at the top of the table with two wins from three matches and a very healthy points difference. Finishing at the top of the table means that they have qualified for the Quarter-Finals of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship that will take place on the 1st July against Tyrone.
Dublin
Dublin are also seen as having a very good chance of going on to win the 2023 edition of this competition, and they have actually been the most successful team over the last decade. Since 2010, they have won this competition no fewer than eight times, and overall they have 30 All-Ireland titles to their name. Dublin play their Gaelic football in the Leinster Senior Football Championship, which they have now won 13 times in a row.
They were drawn in Group 3 alongside Kildare, Roscommon, and Sligo in the All-Ireland Group Stage, and they carried on their great form to finish top of the pile with 2 wins and a draw from their three matches. They are a free-flowing team as can be seen from the fact that they finished the group with a +33 points difference. Just like Kerry, topping the table booked Dublin a spot in the Quarter-Finals on the 2nd of July, and they will be very confident about beating Mayo and making it through to the semi-finals.
Mayo
The third favourites to go on and lift the 2023 All-Ireland title are Mayo, who last won this competition back in 1951. They were runners-up in 2020 and 2021, so they will be eager to go the final step this time around. They play in the Connacht Senior Football Championship, where they are the second most successful team with 48 titles, just behind Galway with a total of 49 titles. However, this year, they were knocked out in the Quarter-Finals.
Galway were drawn into Group 1 of the 2023 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship alongside Cork, Louth, and Kerry. Mayo picked up four points apiece with 2 wins and a defeat, but finished third due to the fact that they lost to cork. As a result of finishing third in their group, they had to play a Preliminary Quarter-Final against their big rivals Galway, and they won by a single point to book themselves a spot in the Quarter-Finals against Dublin.
⭐ All-Ireland Championship Outright Betting Tips
When you are making your All-Ireland Football final predictions, there is nothing stopping you from betting on a random outcome and hoping that Lady Luck is smiling upon you, but this kind of betting strategy does not lead to plenty of success in the long run. I have spent a lot of years in the sports betting industry, and in this time, I have learnt many tips for All-Ireland Club Football betting. I shall now share some with you now.
☑️ Form is Very Important
When you are sports betting, no matter the sport, it is really important that you take a look at the form of the competing teams. Many novice bettors ignore looking at the form, but this is something that could lead to more unsuccessful bets than successful ones. Novice Gaelic football fans will pay more attention to a team's reputation, but the reputation means nothing if a team is completely out of form.
So, before you jump right in and start placing your All-Ireland Championship final bets 2023, do yourself a big favour and check out the form that your chosen team has been in lately. If they have been lacking in form, then it might be wise to avoid betting on them.
☑️ Check Out the Head-to-Head
Apart from checking out the form, you should also take some time to have a look at the head-to-head record that exists between the two teams that are playing. In sports, a team will usually have a psychological advantage over one of their rivals, and this can have a big impact on the result of a game and the outright winner of a competition. If you have made up your mind as to who you would like to bet on, then check who they are going to play and the record that they have over their next opponents. If they seem to always come out on top, then it could be a wise move to put a bet down.
☑️ Important to Find Value
When you are making use of All-Ireland football final odds, it is of the utmost importance that you find some value bets. If you are new to sports betting, a value bet is one where a particular outcome happening is better than what the odds would suggest. Sports betting sites will sometimes make mistakes when it comes to their odds, such as offering odds that are too high. It is advantageous to learn how to spot these errors, and one of the best ways to do this is to always do your research before placing any bets.
An inexperienced bettor will usually ignore just how important research is, and they will usually lose more money than they go on to win. I am sure that you work hard for the money that you have, so the last thing you want to do is waste it by placing a lazy bet. The Internet is a great tool that is very simple to use and has a lot of very useful information, so get into a habit of using it. You really would be foolish not to.
☑️ Manage Your Budget
You obviously need to have funds in your bookmaker account in order to place a bet on this competition. This is why it is really important for you to manage your money properly. If you decide to put all of your money on a particular outcome, and you do not win, then you will be out of funds and will have to deposit more in order to bet again. Ideally, you do not want to have to keep depositing money. Thus, I recommend that you get into the habit of coming up with a budget with a value that you are 100% sure you can afford to lose. Once you have done that, list down the bets that you intend to make, and then split your budgeted money accordingly.
Also, I must stress how important it is for you not to chase any losses. When your budgeted money is gone, stop gambling right away and do something else that you like to take your mind off gambling. If you keep spending money as a means to try and recuperate any losses, you will just end up getting into financial issues that are hard to overcome.
🏆 My All-Ireland Championship Outright Winner Prediction
So, who is it that I think will go on to win the 2023 All-Ireland Football Championship? Well, when you consider the dominance that Kerry and Dublin have had in this competition over the years, it is hard to look beyond one of them. However, I am not the kind of person that sits on the fence, so my prediction for this year's event is that Dublin will go on to lift the title. The reason my sports betting money is on them is because of the form that they have been in - they won the 2023 Leinster Championship with ease, and topped their All-Ireland group with some great performances. They are the team to beat for me.
My All-Ireland Senior Football Championship outright winner prediction: Dublin to win.
