📝 Leinster Football Betting Tips
Dublin are the clear favourites to win the Leinster Championship for a 15th consecutive year in 2025 but there is a lot of time between now and then and lots can happen that could influence the outcome of the 2025 Leinster Championship. Here are some Leinster football betting tips for the upcoming championship and GAA season if you have any free bets to use.
Tip 1 - Dublin to Win 2025 Leinster
Dublin are the heavy favourites to once again lift the Delaney Cup for the 15th consecutive season. They have been dominant in Leinster since 2011 and many believe their period of dominance could be coming to an end, but I still believe we are a few years away from that happening. Dublin do have players who are coming to the end of their Dublin careers and might not recommit for 2025 but I still believe they will have too much quality for the rest of the teams in Leinster. You can back Dublin to win with odds of 1.13 at Boylesports.
Tip 2 - Louth to Win 2025 Leinster
While it is unlikely that any other team other than Dublin will win the 2025 Leinster Championship the only team I see coming anywhere near will be Louth. Louth have progressed well over the years reaching the last two Leinster FInals and pushing Dublin in the 2024 final, eventually losing by just 4 points. It is unlikely that Dublin will be stopped in their quest for the 2025 Leinster SFC but if you think they will be the Louth is the most likely and you can back Louth to win with odds of 13.00 at Boylesports.
Tip 3 - Dublin to Win 2025 All Ireland
As mentioned, I believe Dublin will not be stopped in their quest for the Delaney Cup in 2025 and will win their 15th consecutive Leinster title. Many people are quick to write Dublin off as All Ireland contenders in 2025, after their Quarter final defeat to Galway, who went on to reach the 2024 All Ireland final. Dublin have been in this situation before. They were written off at the beginning of the 2023 campaign, after they failed to reach the 2021 or 2022 All Ireland finals. They responded to this adversity by winning the 2023 All Ireland final. If the older players do decide to recommit to the Dublin panel for 2025 it could be their last chance to once again lift Sam Maguire, so they will be eager to prove the doubters wrong. You can back Dublin to win the 2025 All Ireland SFC with odds of 4.33 at Boylesports.
Betting Market | Selection | Odds |

2025 Leinster Championship Winner | Dublin | 1.13 |
2025 Leinster Championship Winner | Louth | 13.00 |
2025 All-Ireland Championship Winner | Dublin | 4.33 |

💯 Leinster Football Betting Markets
Here we will focus on the popular Leinster Football betting markets that you can avail of.
Outright Betting
Outright betting is increasingly becoming popular among Irish punters because it is an easy one to understand. All that you need to do is to predict the winner of the Leinster Football Championship. If your chosen team wins the competition, you win your bet and you lose your bet if your selected team fails to win the championship. The top sites offer ante-post outright odds up till the final stages of the competition. For example, you can bet on Dublin to win the 2025 Leinster Football Championship if you think they can defend the title for the fifteenth time in a row.
The Over/Under Market
This wager refers to the amount of goals that will be in a game. Usually the betting companies will offer odds on over 1.5 goals up to a realistic number based on who is playing each other. For example, if Dublin are playing Kildare and the score ends Dublin 2-16 Kildare 1-12 and you placed a wager on over 2.5 goals, then you will win the bet.
Odd/Even Final Points Total
All you need to do is bet that the total number of points to be scored in a match will be an odd or even number. Many punters like this type of Leinster football betting market due to how simple and entertaining it is. Odd/Even betting can be offered for half-time and full-time at the top sites. For example, if a match was played with a final score of Louth 1-17 and Kildare 1-14, the total points scored by both teams in the game is 37 points (20 points for Louth and 17 for Kildare). If you had bet on odd total points, your bet would have won.
Handicap Betting
There are 3 possible outcomes in a Gaelic Football game that is a home win, an away win, or a draw. For example, in a Laois (+15) vs Dublin game (-15), the former team is given a head start (with +15) whilst the latter is handicapped (with -15). Dublin will have to win the game by at least 16 points for your bet to succeed if you picked them to win. Again, if you bet on the game to end in a draw, Dublin has to win the match by 15 points for your wager to win. However, if you bet on Laois to win, they would only have to avoid a defeat by less than the handicap amount for your bet to win. This type of bet is preferred in situations where there is a gulf in class and quality between the two teams.
Total Points Over/Under
You place a wager that the total number of points to be scored in a game or to be scored by a specific team will be more (over) or lower (under) than a certain figure which is usually set by your chosen sportsbook. For example, if a sportsbook sets total points of 31.5 for a Dublin vs Offaly game, you can bet that the total points to be recorded in the match will be over or lower than 28.5. You can also bet on the total points to be scored by Dublin to be over or under a given figure, let's say 19.5.

🏁 History of the Leinster Senior Football Championship
The Leinster Senior Football Championship is organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) and has taken place every year since 1888. In 1884, after the GAA was formed, new GAA football and hurling rules were formulated and published in the nationalist weekly newspaper, the United Irishman. The inaugural Leinster Football Championship in 1888 was won by Kilkenny as they defeated Wexford in the final. Eight Leinster football Championship teams participated in this maiden edition including Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Meath, Queen's County(Laois), and Wicklow. However, Dublin are the most successful team in the competition’s history with 63 titles followed by Meath who have clinched the Leinster Football Championship 21 times.
