Lewis Hamilton heads to Silverstone seeking his tenth victory in his home Grand Prix, while George Russell will look to back up what he did in Austria with another victory. The two main British hopes for this yearās race look set to be disappointed, however, as our 2026 British Grand Prix prediction is a win for championship leader Kimi Antonelli.
The Italian has failed to win the last two races after winning five on the bounce but showed a level of maturity in his reflections after finishing third at the Red Bull Ring that suggests another win may be on the cards very soon for the championship leader. The fact that a third-place finish is seen as something of a disappointment for the 19-year-old shows just how impressive his 2026 season has been thus far.
Even though we have picked Antonelli as our winner his teammate George Russell will head to his home Grand Prix buoyed by what he did in Austria. He showed his race craft and speed to grab victory in Austria and will look to repeat that formula once again in search of his maiden British Grand Prix victory. The lead to Antonelli is down to 40 points after his win, and another will cut the gap even more.
Lewis Hamilton will be disappointed with his teamās tactics in Austria, especially after his win in Barcelona, but with his history at Silverstone it would be foolish to rule him out if his car is on point.
