Dublin start their journey towards what will surely be an inevitable 15th Leinster Football Championship title in a row when they visit Aughrim to take on Wicklow. Dessie Farrell’s men will take on Oisin McConville’s Division 4 side on Sunday April 13th at 14:00 GMT, with Seamus Mulhare the man in the middle. Wicklow earned their meeting with the Dubs by taking out Longford in the Leinster quarterfinal, with a full house expected for the visit of the all-conquering team from the capital. In this preview to the game on April 13th, we will give you the latest Wicklow v Dublin odds, as well a choice of betting tips for those that are having a bet on the match.

🏆 Wicklow v Dublin Prediction

To begin our preview to Wicklow v Dublin, Wicklow did well to beat Longford to earn the right to take on Dublin at home, but this is as far as Oisin McConville’s men will go in this year’s Leinster Championship. Dublin are far too strong for anyone else in Leinster and won’t be perturbed by having to face Wicklow in the tight confines of Aughrim. Dessie Farrell’s men have bigger fish to fry later in the summer, so will use this run in Leinster to get their squad fully fit and in tune for the All-Ireland series further down the line. For Wicklow, preparations for a Tailteann Cup run will start as soon as this match is over, as we predict a comfortable win for Dublin, to get their 2025 Championship up and running.

OUR PREDICTION: 🏆 DUBLIN TO WIN 🏆

💯 Wicklow v Dublin Betting Odds

Dublin are massive favourites to win the match and when you compare the two teams it is easy to see why. Dublin are looking for their 64th Leinster title this year, and their 15th in a row. They are amongst the favourites to lift the All-Ireland at the end of the season with Ireland’s best betting sites, and if anything, these games in Leinster don’t really do them many favours in preparing for bigger challenges later in the Championship.

✔️ Wicklow v Dublin Betting Tips

In this part of our prediction, we are going to guide you through some betting tips that may prove useful if you have any free bet offers to use ahead of the match on April 13th.

  • Tip 1: Dublin to win:

Dublin should be far too strong for their Wicklow opponents when the counties meet in Aughrim. Dublin are chasing their 15th consecutive Leinster crown, and no other Leinster county, including Wicklow, is anywhere close to causing Dessie Farrell’s men any hardship this season. Preventing an absolute hammering will be a success for Wicklow, who will have the Tailteann Cup to prepare for after this Leinster quarter final.

  • Tip 2: Con O’ Callaghan to score a goal anytime:

O Callaghan, along with David Clifford is probably the most feared forward in Gaelic Football. The Cuala man, fresh from winning an All-Ireland Club title will be trying his best to lead this Dublin side to glory again this year, after a disappointing 2024 Championship. He will be licking his lips at the prospect of facing these Wicklow backs under the new rules, and it will be no surprise if he manages to find the net during their clash.

  • Tip 3: Dublin -18 Handicap betting:

As we have mentioned above, it should be an easy win for Dessie Farrell’s men when they visit Aughrim. The two sides do not compare on paper, with Dublin having a far stronger squad than Wicklow. The handicap has Dublin -18, but we predict Dublin will beat the handicap and secure an even bigger win when they face off against Wicklow on April 13th.

📈 Wicklow Squad Form

Wicklow failed to get promoted from Division 4 of the 2025 National Football League, finishing 3rd on nine points from their seven games. They began their 2025 Leinster Championship with a hard fought 1-20 – 2-23 win after extra time against Longford in their preliminary round clash. Dean Healy, Oisin McGraynor and Kevin Quinn stood up against Longford, and if they are to make any impression against Dublin, Oisin McConville will need that trio to sparkle yet again.

⚽ Dublin Squad Form

Dublin were unsuccessful in making the 2025 Division 1 Final, losing their last match heavily against Tyrone. That meant they finished the League in 5th place on 8 points, winning four and losing three of their seven matches. That should set them up for their probable waltz through Leinster, with the bonus of the rumoured return to the squad of John Small another boost to Dublin’s All-Ireland hopes.
