Clare and Cork get another season of Munster Championship hurling underway when they clash in Pairc Chiosog in Ennis on April 20th at 14:00 GMT. The round robin clash is a repeat of the legendary 2024 All-Ireland tussle between the two sides, when Clare emerged victorious after extra time on a scoreline of 3-29 – 1-34.

In this preview, we will look ahead to the eagerly anticipated clash, providing you with the very latest Clare v Cork odds, as well as giving you our very own prediction ahead of the big game. For those of you wondering what TV channel Clare v Cork is on, don’t worry, RTE will be covering the game on April 20th as part of their Championship 2025 coverage.

🏆 Clare v Cork Prediction

After last year’s classic between the two teams in the All-Ireland Final in Croke Park, expectations are going to be high as we look forward to the opening match of the 2025 Munster Senior Hurling Championship. Cork have followed up their good form from 2024 by qualifying for the 2025 League Final which takes place on April 6th against Tipperary. Clare for their part had a torrid League run, finishing bottom of Division 1A, with just a solitary win over Limerick to show for their efforts. The two sides met in Division 1A on March 8th in Ennis, with Pat Ryan’s Cork hammering the Banner 0-23 – 6-20.

Cork could potentially be heading into their Munster clash with Clare as League champions if they can get over Tipperary in the decider. A League win would represent Cork’s first silverware since 2018 and would give the Rebels confidence ahead of what they hope will be a big year in 2025. Brian Lohan’s Clare will be hoping to recapture the form of 2024 when the Championship starts on April 20th, but given the recent form of Cork and the hunger they will have to exact a measure of revenge for last year’s All-Ireland, we fancy Cork to open their 2025 Munster Championship with an away win in Ennis.

OUR PREDICTION: 🏆 CORK TO WIN 🏆

✔️ Clare v Cork Betting Tips

Next, we will have a look at some Clare v Cork betting tips that might be useful if you have any free bet offers.

  • Tip 1: Cork to win:

Cork are favourites to win this year’s Munster Championship given the form they have continued into 2025. There was only a point between the sides in their classic All-Ireland Final meeting in July 2024, while Cork hammered Clare by 15 points when the sides met in March. The final piece in the Cork jigsaw is now getting over the line and delivering silverware, and they can start their Championship 2025 journey with a confidence boosting win against Clare on April 20th.

  • Tip 2: Patrick Horgan to score a goal anytime:

Patrick Horgan is not only the record Championship scorer with 29-629 after breaking the record in 2024, he is now also the record League scorer after overtaking Eddie Keher during the 2025 League campaign. Horgan hit 1-9 in his last League game against Galway and will be hoping to carry his form into their League Final with Tipperary on April 6th, before taking on Clare in the Munster Championship.

  • Tip 3: Cork HT/FT:

Even though Clare have had the upper hand over Cork in Championship meetings recently, it will be a surprise to nobody if Cork take the win against Clare in Ennis when the two counties meet. We can expect a great game when they clash, with Cork expected to leave Ennis with the win after leading at half time.

📈 Clare Squad Form

Clare finished bottom of Division 1A of the 2025 Allianz Hurling League so will have to pick up their form ahead of their opening round robin clash of the 2025 Munster Senior Championship against Cork. They are the reigning All-Ireland champions from 2024, beating Cork in the Final, so will hope that the heat of Championship hurling will see a return to the kind of performances that won them their 5th All-Ireland last year.

⚽ Cork Squad Form

Cork finished their Division 1A League run with four wins from their six League games. That saw them finish second behind Tipperary, who they will meet in the League Final on April 6th. Cork are currently favourites to win that League Final, as well as the 2025 Munster and All-Ireland Championships given the form they have shown, so far in 2025.
