Galway welcome Wexford to Salthill on Saturday May 10th for their Leinster Senior Hurling Championship Round 3 match. Throw in is at 15:15 GMT, and for those wondering what tv channel Galway v Wexford is on, RTE will be covering the game live on the day as part of their Championship 2025 coverage. Both sides enter Round 3 with an identical record so far. Wexford won their first game with Antrim, before losing in Round 2 to Dublin, while Galway disappointingly lost their opening game against Kilkenny, before bouncing back with an important win against Offaly.

In this preview to the all-important Leinster clash, we will take you through the latest betting odds, as well as provide you with some betting tips. We will also give you our very own prediction, ahead of what is sure to be tense and tight affair in Galway.

🏆 Galway v Wexford Prediction

Galway go into the game off the back of a convincing and comfortable win over Offaly in Round 2. There had been concerns for Micheal Donoghue’s team heading to Offaly, but they put any fears to bed with the kind of classy and slick performance many expect from a Galway side, beating Johnny Kelly’s team on a scoreline of 2-25 – 1-14.

Wexford for their part, began the Championship with an 11-point win over Antrim, and headed to Parnell Park, for Round 2, knowing a win would have put them in a great position for a Top 3 finish. Unfortunately for them, Dublin proved too strong in the finish, with Keith Rossiter’s team losing in Parnell Park, 3-26 – 4-19. That defeat puts extra emphasis on this Round 3 clash, with both sides knowing that a defeat could scupper their bid for a Top 3 finish, and qualification for the All-Ireland series.

With that in mind, our Galway v Wexford prediction for this vital showdown, is that Galway will emerge on top, and put themselves in pole position for at least a Top 3 finish. That win against Offaly should give the Tribesmen confidence after a rocky start, and we expect Micheal Donoghue’s men to bring that confidence to Pearse Stadium on May 10th.

OUR PREDICTION:🏆 GALWAY TO WIN 🏆

💯 Galway v Wexford Betting Odds

Our prediction for this match may be a Galway win, but expect a suspense filled, titanic battle when these two counties clash in Galway. The thoughts of a potentially harmful second defeat for either team should make this an even more fascinating match, with both knowing a loss could end their chances of qualification.

✔️ Galway v Wexford Betting Tips

Given the importance this game now has for both teams, fans should be treated to a great game in Salthill on May 10th. There will be plenty of opportunities for betting fans to have a bet on this Galway v Wexford clash, so below, we have listed 3 Galway v Wexford betting tips that might come in handy if you are having a bet on the game.

  • Tip 1: Over 2.5 Goals: Wexford have hit 6 goals already in their opening two matches, putting 2 past Antrim, before finding the net 4 times in their defeat to Dublin. Galway have raised a green flag twice in their first 2 matches, with both coming in their Round 2 win over Offaly. Given the strength of both sides in finding the net in their last outings, expect there to be goals in Galway, so keep an eye out for the over 2.5 goals market.
  • Tip 2: Lee Chin to score a goal at any time: Lee Chin continued his fine personal form against Dublin, hitting 1-7 for his side as they fell to defeat in the Capital. Added to the 0-16 he hit against Antrim, that is 1-23 for the former All-Star in just 2 matches. If as expected, there will be goals when Wexford travel to Galway. Keep an eye out for Lee Chin to be amongst the action.
  • Tip 3: Cathal Mannion to score a goal at any time: Mannion hit 0-10 points in Galway’s opening defeat to Kilkenny and was on the top of his game again, in their win against Offaly. The Ahascragh club man put on a show against Offaly, scoring 2-08 of his team’s 2-25 total, highlighting the growing influence the 2015 All-Star is having on his team in 2025.

📈 Galway Squad Form

Micheal Donoghue made changes to his team from the side that was soundly beaten by Kilkenny for their Round 2 clash, and they worked a treat for the manager as his side reignited their Leinster campaign with a win. Daithi Burke returned to the defence, David Burke came into midfield, while up front Colm Molloy hit 0-5 points and impressed throughout.

Cathal Mannion was also brilliant for Galway, hitting 2-08, and Galway will need big performances from him once again as well as the likes of Conor Whelan and Padraic Mannion if they want to continue the form shown against Offaly when they face Wexford. They will also have to wait and see whether Daithi Burke can lineout after his red card against Offaly.

⚽ Wexford Squad Form

Keith Rossiter made one change to the Wexford side that beat Antrim for the game against Dublin in Round 2, with Shane Reck coming in for the absent Jack O’Connor. Wexford may have lost an enthralling clash against Dublin, but once again Lee Chin was to the fore, hitting 1-7 for his team. Conor Hearne, Cathal Dunbar and Simon Donohoe were others to stand up against Dublin and Rossiter will need even more from them and others, like Rory O’Connor and Charlie McGuckin, when they face off against Galway in what could be a season defining match for Wexford on May 10th.
