Dublin earned a late draw in their opening Leinster Senior Hurling Championship match against Offaly but will hope for full points when they welcome Kildare to Parnell Park for their Round 2 meeting. The match is scheduled to start at 15:00 GMT on Sunday, April 26th, with Colm McDonald set to be the referee for this one.
In our preview to the match, we will give you the latest Dublin v Kildare betting odds as well as some Dublin v Kildare betting tips. We will also share our Dublin v Kildare prediction.
🏆 Dublin vs Kildare Prediction
To kick our match preview off, we are going to share our Dublin v Kildare prediction ahead of their clash on April 26th. Dublin go in as heavy favourites, and we believe they will back up that favouritism and come away from Parnell Park with the 2 points.
Going into their game with Offaly, many felt that the Dubs would be too strong for the Midlanders, but in the end they came away with a point, and it may yet prove to be a crucial point in their bid to compete for the Leinster title this year. They conceded 4 goals to an inspired Offaly side, so that is something that Niall Ó Ceallacháin will have to address against Kildare. They did play some impressive hurling themselves, however, with their ability to consistently break through Offaly’s tackles particularly apparent.
Kildare did a lot right against Wexford in their opening Leinster championship match, with only a late Lee Chin goal putting some daylight between Wexford and the 2025 Joe McDonagh champions. Brian Dowling’s team even briefly led just before half-time as they looked to cause an upset in their Leinster return. Wexford got stronger as the match went on, though, but credit to Kildare, they didn’t fold.
Dublin have a bit to improve on after the Offaly game, but they certainly have the calibre to do so. If they do, they should be more than capable of beating Kildare, and we believe they will. That is why our Dublin v Kildare prediction is for a Dublin win.

⚡⚡ Dublin vs Kildare Betting Tips
At this stage of our preview we will take you through some Dublin v Kildare betting tips that may be useful for those that have any free bet offers to use on GAA matches.
Before having a bet on this or any match throughout the championship, check out our bookmaker reviews page. Here, lots of extra information on any of our listed betting sites can be found.
- Tip 1: Dublin to Win: Dublin will have to get 2 points on the board against Kildare if they want to have any say in the Leinster Championship this year. With matches against Galway, Wexford and Kilkenny to come, Niall Ó Ceallacháin’s team will be eager to get the 2 points, and we think they will. Kildare have made great progress to get this far but anything other than a Dublin win will be a huge shock.
To back Dublin, you can currently get a price of 1.10 with DirectionBet on them winning in Parnell Park.
- Tip 2: Cian O’Sullivan to score a goal anytime: O’Sullivan hit 5 goals across Dublin’s championship last year and will be pivotal to their chances of competing for a Leinster title this year. He hit 2-20 across their league season before hitting 2 points against Offaly in round 1. If Dublin are going to score goals against Kildare, we expect O’Sullivan to be at the heart of the action, so keep an eye out for the goalscorer markets closer to the throw-in.
- Tip 3: Dublin to win by 16 or more points: Dublin will be keen to make an impression after last week’s draw with Offaly and get their 2026 championship properly up and running. They have huge scoring potential in their team, and if they can get goals against Kildare, they could loosen up and show the form that many expected against Offaly. They beat Kildare by 21 points last year and by 14 in the league earlier in 2026, so they should be able to comfortably dispatch Kildare in front of their home support.
To back Dublin to win by 16+ points, you can get a price of 4.00 with BoyleSports.
✔️ Dublin Squad Form
Dublin will be relieved to have got something in the end against Offaly, with Donal Burke’s late score rescuing a point for the Dubs. They had gone into the match as strong favourites to get their 2026 campaign off and running but will now have to turn their attentions to the novel pairing with Kildare. Burke was instrumental for Dublin against Offaly, hitting 0-11 points, while Conor Donohue and Brian Hayes also pitched in with goals. How to manage the returning Liam Rushe will be a dilemma for Dublin boss Niall Ó’Ceallacháin, as will be trying to get more from John Hetherton and Cian O’Sullivan.
📈 Kildare Squad Form
Kildare played their first Leinster SHC match since 2004 when they faced Wexford in their round 1 clash. Brian Dowling and his players have made great strides in hurling over recent years and will want to try and stay as competitive as they possibly can in the championship. They gave a great account of themselves in that match, with Jack Sheridan’s goal briefly putting them in front against Wexford.

✒️ Dublin vs Kildare - H2H Stats
Kildare and Dublin in a Leinster hurling championship match is quite a novel pairing these days, as Kildare last competed in the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship back in 2004. The recent Dublin v Kildare H2H stats can only be compiled from 1 Championship match in 2025 and 1 league match in 2026. Dublin won both those games comfortably.
