A new winner will be crowned as the 2026 Leinster Senior Hurling Championship draws to a close with Dublin and Galway battling it out for provincial honours this year. Not since 2019 has a team other than Kilkenny lifted the Leinster title, but Dublin and Galway will have that opportunity when they face off on June 6th in Croke Park.
Ahead of the match, we will take you through some important stats and information to do with this year’s Leinster final. From the latest betting odds to our own prediction, we have you covered, so read on as we look ahead to the 2026 Leinster final between Dublin and Galway.
💯 Dublin vs Galway Prediction
For the first time since 2017, Kilkenny are not in a Leinster final, with both Dublin and Galway confident of winning their first Leinster titles since 2013 and 2018, respectively. We feel it is Dublin that will emerge with the win, and that is why our Dublin v Galway Leinster SHC final prediction is for a Dublin victory.
A win for Niall Ó Ceallacháin’s team would earn them a spot in the All-Ireland semi-final, but it would also confirm the progress they are making under their boss over the last couple of years. They are a much more well-rounded team this year than they have been in the past. Their attack has more variation to it, and they are now a serious threat with the ball from deep with the pace and running ability they have from the middle third, offering a different avenue for the Dubs. They also have the luxury of using Ronan Hayes and John Hetherton for the direct route if they wish, something they used to great effect in Salthill when they defeated Galway during the round-robin stage. Their ability to close out games this year has also been a hallmark of their success. When Galway levelled in Salthill, they just went up the field and scored a goal and a point to clinch the win, while against Kilkenny they managed the game to earn their first win over Kilkenny in 13 years.
Galway do still possess a threat to Dublin that if it clicks for Micheál Donoghue’s team may see them home on June 6th. If the likes of Aaron Niland and Rory Burke can make it back and they, along with Conor Whelan, Jason Rabbitte and Cathal Mannion, all kick into gear, they have a forward line capable of running up huge scores. The problem for them has been their consistency, however. Wides were an issue against Kildare and Dublin, while defensively they have looked vulnerable at times.
If they can cope defensively with what Dublin bring, they have a chance, but the variation and balance that Dublin have at the moment should be enough for them to bring the Bob O’Keefe Cup back to Dublin for the first time since 2013.
OUR PREDICTION: DUBLIN TO WIN
💡 Dublin vs Galway Betting Odds
Despite Dublin’s unbeaten run and the fact that they defeated Galway during the round-robin phase, Niall Ó Ceallacáin’s team are slight underdogs for this year’s Leinster final when we look at the latest Dublin v Galway betting odds.
Dublin can be backed at a price of around 2.95 with Festivalplay, while Boylesports are offering odds of around 1.53 on Galway emerging victorious from the match at Croke Park.

⚡⚡ Dublin vs Galway Betting Tips
We are now going to give you three Dublin v Galway tips that may be useful for those with any free bet offers to use on the match. Before having a bet, though, why not first check out our bookmaker reviews page? Here, you can find out even more about any of the betting sites listed.
- Tip 1: Dublin to win: The fact that they have defeated Galway already and beaten Kilkenny to earn their spot in the Leinster final should see the Dubs enter this year’s final with a confidence rarely seen from the capital’s hurling side. They will feel that they are now in a position to win their first provincial title since 2013, and we feel that they are also. Those wins should help them as they look to back up those wins with another great performance. If you think the Dubs will win, you can currently get a price of 2.95 with DirectionBet on them doing just that.
- Tip 2: Back Dublin HT/FT Double Result: We feel that Dublin do not deserve to be as unfancied as they are when we look at the Dublin v Galway odds, and we think that they will prove it on June 6th. Those great wins should prove to them that they belong at the top table of hurling, and in their manager Niall Ó Ceallacháin, they have a coach who has proven he can set a team up to win on any given day. We expect Dublin to start strong against Galway, and that could prove enough for them to hold onto the lead and clinch their first Leinster title in 13 years.
- Tip 3: Back Dublin to Win by 4-6 points: There were four points between them back in early May when they met in Salthill, and Dublin have grown even more as a team since then. That victory over Kilkenny will have them perfectly set up to trouble Galway once again just as they did on May 16th when they mixed up their tactics to such good effect. That led to a 3-16 – 0-21 win, and we think they can get a similarly sized result again in Croke Park. You can get a *goto Boylesports [price of 9.00 with BoyleSports] on Dublin winning the 2026 Leinster final by 4-6 points.*
🔮 Dublin Squad Form
Dublin went through the 2026 Leinster Championship round-robin phase unbeaten to earn their place in this year’s final. They emerged with wins over Kilkenny, Galway, Wexford and Kildare while they drew their opening match with Offaly. Liam Rushe returned for the Galway match in Round 4, but a late injury meant he missed the Kilkenny win in Round 5. Eoghan O’Donnell is another who has missed the last two matches, but Conor McHugh, who has played in O’Donnell’s place, and John Bellew, who replaced Rushe, have not let their side down at all. Donal Burke has been to the fore in scoring terms once again, but he has been ably assisted by the likes of Cian O’Sullivan, Ronan Hayes and Conal Ó Riain.
⚡ Galway Squad Form
Galway appeared to be the side to beat after they hammered Kilkenny in their opening match by fifteen points. They unearthed some new stars like Rory Burke, Jason Rabbitte and Aaron Niland, with those three all making their championship debuts against Kilkenny. Burke and Niland have subsequently missed the closing matches of the round-robin phase and will be big losses in the Leinster final if they are out. In their absence Conor Whelan will be needed, as will Tom Monaghan, who has stepped up in recent games. At the back, how Daithi Burke, Cillian Trayers and their teammates cope if Dublin go direct once more will be pivotal to Galway’s chances of success.
