I like how Italy have developed under Kieran Crowley, and there is no denying that they have come on leaps and bounds under his tenure, but the history books don't lie. Even in the last Ireland v Italy head-to-head, Ireland managed to pull clear, 34-20. On top of that, Italy have already shown they are capable of falling short against lesser teams than the Men in Green: the score in the Scotland v Italy test being 25-13. gli Azzurri will throw the kitchen sink at the Irish, but I think the determining factor of whether this will be close or a run-away will be who Andy Farrell decides to test, player-wise, in this encounter. Either way, I can see Ireland winning by 20 points.

Some betting sites haven't even bothered giving match winner odds for Ireland v Italy, and the best you can find is Ireland to win at 1.02 at BoyleSports. To put that in context, to make €20 winnings from this bet being successful, you would have to stake €1000. I know that Ireland are the clear favourites, but these odds are laughable for me, so a match winner bet gets a hard pass.

2️⃣ Handicap Winner: Italy to Win (+24.5)

Here's a tip that's a little different to my usual ones: I would say to bet on the opposition team to win with a handicap. Shocker, I know, but because I think Ireland will win by only 20 points, betting on Italy to win (+24.5) at 1.85 at Betway may turn out to be a good option. Compared to potential winnings of €0.02 for every €1.00 staked, €0.85 for every €1.00 may seem much more appealing. Be careful, however! If Ireland really do give Italy a drubbing and go on to win by 25 points or more, you can kiss goodbye to your bet, so please be sensible about what you are willing to bet and potentially lose.

I feel Ireland are going to smash this game, so I might be interested in taking a punt on Ireland to win both halves at 1.22 at BoyleSports. This one is up to you as to whether you see any potential value.
