Semple Stadium is the venue as Tipperary face Cork in their Munster Football Championship semi-final on April 25th, at 14:00 GMT. Fergal Kelly will be the man in the middle for this one, with the winner set to face either defending All-Ireland champions Kerry or Clare in this year’s Munster decider on May 10th. Cork will be heavily fancied to book their place in the final after their league showing, while for Tipperary, a 5-point win over Waterford has earned them their chance at a first Munster final since 2020.

In this preview to the match, we will share our Tipperary v Cork prediction as well as some Tipperary v Cork betting tips ahead of this Munster semi-final on April 25th.

⚡ Tipperary vs Cork

Cork beat Tipperary in their recent Munster hurling clash at Semple Stadium and fully expect the outcome to be the exact same when the Gaelic footballers of each county square up on April 25th. Therefore, our Tipperary v Cork prediction is for a Cork win to set up what should be another Cork v Kerry Munster final.

It has been a real breakthrough year for John Cleary's team in 2026. They finally gained promotion from Division 2 of the league and will play Division 1 football once again in 2027, the first time they have reached the top division since 2016. They won 6 of their 7 matches, losing to Derry, before also losing the Division 2 final to Meath, but they achieved their aim of promotion and did so as the 2nd highest scorers, behind Meath.

Tipperary, for their part, won 3 of their 7 matches in Division 4, drew 2 and lost to Wicklow and Carlow.

Cork have underachieved in recent years but have finally won promotion this year, something that should really stand to them in the coming years. They have fine footballers in the likes of Steven Sherlock and Chris Óg Jones and should have far too much scoring potential for Tipperary on April 25th. They hit 4-16 in their 1st round win over Limerick, and anything similar against Tipperary should see them comfortably home in Thurles.

OUR PREDICTION: CORK TO WIN

⚡⚡ Tipperary vs Cork Betting Tips

Now, on our Tipperary v Cork prediction page, we are going to offer up a selection of Tipperary v Cork betting tips. These tips may prove useful for those with some free bet offers to use or those that just want to have a bet on this Munster semi-final.

Before having a bet on the match, however, why not check out our brand reviews page? Here, you can find out lots more about any of the betting sites listed.

  • Tip 1: Cork to win: Cork should be far too strong for Tipperary in their Munster semi-final, so we predict a comfortable win for John Cleary and his team. Cork will be eager for another Munster final appearance and should not let complacency come to the fore in Thurles when the sides meet. They have quality scoring threats throughout the team, and that should see them through to a Munster final on May 10th. To back Cork, you can currently get a price of 1.04 with DirectionBet.
  • Tip 2: Over 2.5 goals: Cork hit 8 goals throughout the league and then hit another 4 against Limerick in their opening Munster Championship match, so they certainly know how to find the back of the net. They have potentially clinical scorers in the likes of Brian Hurley, Chris Óg Jones and Steven Sherlock, while Ian Maguire, Sean McDonnell, Tommy Walsh and Dara Sheedy were the 4 goal scorers against Limerick. They have the potential to raise plenty of green flags this year, and we would expect that to be the case against Tipperary.
  • Tip 3: Cork - 11 Handicap: Cork comfortably won their quarter-final with Limerick by 9 points, and it could have and perhaps should have been more if not for the concession of a penalty in the 2nd half and a red card in the final quarter. They kept creating chances though, and that will please John Cleary as he looks ahead to this semi-final. If Cork can maintain their discipline alongside their attacking threat, they should be more than capable of beating Tipp with a bit to spare in Thurles. To back Cork to win -11, you can currently get a price of 2.10 with DirectionBet.

🥇 Tipperary Squad Form

Tipperary finished 5th in Division 4 of the 2026 National League on 8 points, just 1 point behind Longford in the second promotion place. They then played Waterford in their Munster SFC quarter-final and came away with a 0-15 – 1-7 win to set up this semi-final with Cork. Seán O’Connor and Cian Smith played a big part in that win, contributing 0-10 points out of their 0-15-point total.

🧨 Cork Squad Form

Cork had a great league, gaining promotion to the top division for 2027. They lost heavily to Derry and then to Meath in a close league final but have looked impressive at times this year. They then had a comfortable 4-16 – 1-16 win over Limerick in their quarter-final, with 11 players contributing to that 4-16 total.
