The final Group Stage match of the 2023 Cricket World Cup sees the hosts, India, take on the Netherlands at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on the 12th of November. India have already guaranteed themselves a top spot in the table and a semi-final against the team that finishes 4th, while the Netherlands still have their eye on qualification for the 2025 Champions Trophy. Read on to find out my predictions for this match alongside some quality Irish betting sites that offer great cricket betting platforms for those who want to bet on this match.
💯 India v Netherlands Betting Odds
The majority of bookmakers that accept Irish punters will have some kind of cricket betting platform available as they know that this is a growing sport across Ireland. When you are betting on any sport, you obviously want to be doing so at one of the best bookies around, and this is where I become your friend. Below I have given you some tables with betting odds from some top bookmakers for three of my favourite cricket betting markets.
Match Winners Odds: India v Netherlands
If you want to predict the result of this match, then below are the match winner odds for it - although, as you are about to see, the odds are not too appealing.
Team | *img9(10)ld[lazy] | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
India | N/A | 1.02 | 1.02 | 1.02 | TBA |
Netherlands | 10.01 | 13.00 | 15.00 | 13.50 | TBA |
Top Batsman Odds: India v Netherlands
Cricket has become such a popular sport for Irish punters, even those who do not follow it that closely, due to the plethora of betting markets that it has on offer. Think of an outcome that can happen in a cricket match, and there is every chance that you will find a bookmaker offering odds for it. One of my favourite markets for cricket betting is the top batsman one since I find it very entertaining to bet on a player to top score for their team and then follow them throughout their innings.
Below you can find three Indian and Dutch players that I feel are worth considering for this top batsman market. You can also see some top batsman odds from two top-notch bookies:
India:
Player | ||
---|---|---|
Rohit Sharma | 3.45 | 3.45 |
Virat Kohli | 3.40 | 3.40 |
Shubman Gill | 3.35 | 3.35 |
Netherlands:
Player | ||
---|---|---|
Colin Ackermann | 4.90 | 4.90 |
Sybrand Engelbrecht | 5.00 | 5.00 |
Scott Edwards | 5.00 | 5.00 |
Top Wicket Taker Odds: India v Netherlands
If I am not too sure who to bet on when it comes to the batting department, I put it out of my mind and take a look at the bowling unit as well. The top bowler market is another wonderful betting option where you have to try and predict the player that will take the most wickets in the match for their country. This is a good type of bet to place when you do not have any emotional attachment to either team that is playing.
Below I have given you three potential top wicket taker candidates from India and the Netherlands, and I have also given you some top wicket taker odds to have a look at.
India:
Player | ||
---|---|---|
Mohammed Shami | 3.25 | 3.25 |
Jasprit Bumrah | 3.30 | 3.30 |
Kuldeep Yadav | 4.90 | 4.90 |
Netherlands:
Player | ||
---|---|---|
Bas de Leede | 4.20 | 4.20 |
Aryan Dutt | 4.70 | 4.70 |
Logan van Beek | 3.90 | 3.90 |
The above odds were correct at the time of writing. For updated odds, go to the bookmakers' sites.
🔍 India v Netherlands Match Winner Prediction
India were the big favourites heading into this World Cup, and they have shown us all why this was the case. They have won all eight matches that they have played while hardly breaking a sweat. They are guaranteed first spot in the group, but do not expect them to take their foot off the gas here - they will be looking to win the title with a clean sweep. The Dutch have played well, and they can return home with their heads held high, no matter what happens in this game.
India's last match was against South Africa, who are second in the table, and they blew them away with ease. They scored 326 runs from their 50 overs, with another masterclass from Virat Kohli, and then they bowled South Africa out for 83 to win the match by a whopping 243 runs. No team has been able to cope with India's batting and bowling prowess, and it is hard to see anyone stopping them from storming to the title.
The Netherlands played England in their previous game and ended up losing by 160 runs. However, it was a better performance than the final result suggests - were it not for a late partnership between Chris Woakes and Ben Stokes, this would have been a much closer affair. Like what has happened in many of their matches at this World Cup, their batters got starts, but could not capitalise on them.
Some bookmakers are not even offering odds for an India win in this match, which is not surprising. I see nothing but a very comfortable win for the hosts against the Dutch, which will probably see the latter end up at the bottom of the table and miss out on the 2025 Champions Trophy.
My India vs Netherlands Winner Prediction: India to Win!
✔️ India v Netherlands CWC Betting Tips
Anyone who wants to do some sports betting on this match should check out the following cricket betting tips before doing so.
Match Winner: India to Win
India have only played the Netherlands twice in ODI cricket, and both matches were World Cup games. It will probably not come as much of a surprise to hear that India came out on top on both occasions. It would be the biggest shock of the competition so far if the Dutch were able to turn over the hosts.
The Netherlands' best chance of getting a shock win would probably be by bowling first if they happen to win the toss. Their bowling is their strongest suit, so if they can bowl first and somehow restrict India's superstar line-up to a score of around 250-270, then they will be in the game.
However, with the way that the Indian bowling unit has been bowling throughout this competition, I would back them to defend a score of 200. They have ploughed through batting line-ups like a knife through butter. England, for instance, managed to restrict India to a score of around 250, but they still went on to lose the match by more than 100 runs. This is one of the best ODI teams to ever exist, and I am afraid that the Netherlands have no hope.
While India will win this game, there is little point in betting on them to do so as the odds are so short. For instance, at the moment, LegendPlay Sports are currently odds of 1.02.
India's Top Batsman Winner: Virat Kohli to Win
We all knew how good Virat Kohli is heading into this competition, and in the eight matches that he has played, he has hammered home that fact. He has scored a staggering 543 runs at an average of 108.60 - this includes two stunning centuries. He is in top form at the moment, and I am sure that he will be licking his lips at the prospect of facing the Dutch bowling attack.
If you want to bet on Kohli to top score for India, then Dachbt Sports currently have odds of 3.40 on offer.
Netherlands' Top Batsman Winner: Scott Edwards to Win
The main issue that the Dutch have had throughout this World Cup is a miss-firing top order. It is usually left to the middle-order batters to get them up to a competitive total, and one man who enjoys taking on that responsibility is Scott Edwards. He has scored 242 runs at an average of 40.33, and I think he will top score against India. With the way India have been bowling, he might only need 30-40 runs.
If you want to put money on Edwards to top score for the Dutch, then TonyBet Sports are currently offering odds of 5.00.
India Top Wicket Taker: Mohammed Shami to Win Top Wicket Taker
Shami was a late addition to the India XI, and since his introduction, he has been the best fast bowler in the competition. In just 4 matches, he has picked up 16 wickets at a remarkable average of 7.00. With the way that he has been playing lately, it would be surprising if he did not pick up three or four wickets against a struggling Dutch batting unit.
Those who want to back Shami to take the most wickets can find odds of 3.25 at Dachbet Sports.
Netherlands' Top Wicket Taker: Bas de Leede to Win Top Wicket Taker
Bas de Leede has been very impressive at this World Cup, and he can be proud of his haul of 14 wickets in 8 matches. Not only has he taken the most wickets for the Dutch at this tournament, but he also has the best bowling average, which stands at 28.93. I do not think the Dutch will get many wickets against India, but I can see de Leede picking up a couple.
If you want to put money on de Leede to take the most Indian wickets, then TonyBet Sports have odds of 4.20.
