The Amgen Irish Open Golf event will take place between September 4th and September 7th in 2025, with former major winners Francesco Molinari and Danny Willett the latest to declare their participation. They’ll join Rory McIlroy, Pádraig Harrington and Luke Donald (among others) in County Kildare.

The absence of world number one Scottie Scheffler creates an open and highly competitive playing field in County Kildare. The American has won five PGA Tour titles so far in 2025 (including two majors), while he has secured a top-10 finish in 14 consecutive tournaments dating back to March 17th.
2024 winner and world number 54 Rasmus Hojgaard will defend his title, having pipped home favourite Rory McIlroy by a single shot at Royal County Down last year. However, he’ll do well to repeat this success, with Brooks Koepka, Shane Lowry and Sergio Garcia also in contention.
McIlroy will be refreshed after a short break, while he’ll be determined to avenge last season’s loss in front of his home fans. He also won this title at the K-Club back in 2016, and he’s first among our Irish Open picks to triumph in 2025.

To this end, he has secured four top-10 and five top-15 finishes in his previous six tournaments on the LIV Circuit. This run included a victory at the LIV Golf Dallas event at the end of June.
In addition to arriving in Ireland in good form, Reed will have a point to prove after being left out of Keegan Bradley's squad for the Ryder Cup at the end of September.
