In the latest of our series of World Cup betting guides, we will take you through everything you need to know about this Spain v Belgium clash. From the latest match odds to our Spain v Belgium best bets, we have your betting needs covered. We will also give you our Spain v Belgium prediction, so why not read on as we look forward to another of this year’s quarter finals?

🔮 Spain vs Belgium Prediction

Spain’s ability to dominate the ball alongside the defensive strength they have shown in this tournament means our Spain v Belgium FIFA World Cup prediction is for a Spanish win when the sides meet in Los Angeles on July 10th.

Spain have yet to concede a goal during the World Cup, and even though Belgium have the firepower of the likes of Jeremy Doku, Romelu Lukaku, Leandro Trossard and Youri Tielemans at their disposal, Spain’s ability to keep the ball and stifle their opponents could make all the difference. Spain will look to Lamine Yamal, Pedri and Dani Olmo to create against Belgium’s defence, while in Rodri they have a player who can dictate the tempo of the game in Spain’s favour.

It should be a tight tactical affair given Spain’s playing style, but we think their ability to control the game will tell in the end, and they will eventually get the breakthrough against Belgium. If Belgium could get an early goal, it could change the dynamic of the match, but we think Spain can grab a narrow 1- or 2-goal win and book their spot in their first semi-final since 2010, the year they won the World Cup.

OUR PREDICTION: SPAIN TO WIN

✨ Spain vs Belgium Betting Tips

As has been the case with all of our 2026 World Cup betting guides, we are now going to give you our three Spain v Belgium tips, which may come in handy for those of you with any top free bet offers with any of our listed betting sites.

Remember, before having a bet on this or any other match during the World Cup, to first check out our dedicated sportsbook reviews in Ireland page. Here extra information about any of our listed betting sites can be found.

  • Tip 1: Spain to score the first goal: Spain have shown an ability to keep opposition attackers quiet in this tournament and have been able to take at least one chance in all but one of their matches to date. The only time they failed to score was against Cape Verde, but we think their possession and creativity can come to the fore against Belgium. To bet on Spain opening the scoring, you can get a price of 1.52 with Rabona Sports ahead of the match.

  • Tip 2: Lamine Yamal to score anytime: Spain’s superstar attacker has yet to fully explode into the tournament, but this match against Belgium might be when it happens. Full-back could be a problem area for Belgium, and with Yamal’s dribbling and creativity, he may be able to cause Belgium problems.

If you agree, you can get a price of 2.50 with FestivalPlay on Yamal finding the back of the net.

  • Tip 3: Mikel Oyarzabal to score anytime: Oyarzabal has 4 goals in the World Cup so far and will be keen to add to that tally against Belgium. He has an ability to make smart, well-timed runs which may catch out the Belgian defence as Spain look to dominate possession and territory. To back the Real Sociedad striker, you can get him at a price of 2.15 with FestivalPlay.

🧨 Spain Squad Form

Spain have yet to fully impress so far in the World Cup, although they are quietly going about their business armed with one of the best squads remaining in the competition. They have yet to concede a goal, while they have played 3,382 passes so far in the tournament, the most of any team.

That is crucial to how they want to play, but they will hope their wide men, like Lamine Yamal, Alex Baena and Ferran Torres, keep growing into the competition, as it will allow them to stretch the pitch in attack.

Spain Players to Watch

We will now look at three Spain stars who will be key for the European champions against Belgium.

  • Rodri: Spain have some of the best passing midfielders at their disposal in Pedri and Manchester City’s Rodri. It is Rodri who leads Spain’s passing stats so far, a vital part of how Luis de la Fuente’s team tries to control matches.
  • Lamine Yamal: The Barcelona superstar has yet to really take a grip of this World Cup. Perhaps this is the match when he ignites for his team, showing off all his dazzling dribbling skills, as well as his creativity on the ball.
  • Mikel Oyarzabal: With 4 goals in the tournament so far, the Real Sociedad forward was quiet against Portugal but has become an effective international goalscorer, as his record of 29 goals in 58 caps shows.

🥇 Belgium Squad Form

Belgium really struggled to impress in the group stages, just about finishing top of Group G, a group which included New Zealand, Iran and Egypt. They then defeated Senegal in the last 32 through a stoppage-time extra-time penalty from Youri Tielemans. That led to a last 16 clash with the hosts, the USA, a match that had some controversy due to the availability of US striker Folarin Balogun, who had originally been suspended.

That controversy seemed to spur the Belgians on as they easily accounted for the US, beating them 4-1. They claimed victory despite losing Amadou Onana to a tournament-ending injury, while also dropping Kevin De Bruyne and Jeremy Doku to the bench.

Belgium Players to Watch

Below are three players that Belgium may rely on if they want to shock Spain in their quarter-final clash.

  • Thibaut Courtois: Given we expect Spain to have most of the ball and be the ones looking to probe around Belgium’s 18-yard box, the Real Madrid stopper could be crucial in keeping his side in the game. Belgium have the potential to cause Spain problems up front, but they will probably need Courtois to produce some moments of magic to give them any chance.
  • Youri Tielemans: The team captain is vital to any hopes Belgium have. Whether playing further forward or as one of the deeper midfielders in the absence of Amadou Onana, Tielemans has the class to impact the match, as proven by the two goals he has scored for his team so far.
  • Romelu Lukaku: Belgium’s record goalscorer has been mostly used off the bench in this tournament. That hasn’t stopped him from aiding his team with 3 goals to bring his World Cup tally to 8 in 17 World Cup appearances. His impact off the bench once more could be important in the closing stages if the Belgians are still in the match.
