Match prediction 16 of 18 of our Summer Internationals 2023 betting series.
Steven's prediction accuracy 2023: ✔️ 89.29%.
There's not much left of the Summer Internationals 2023, but rugby fans will still get to see a few last bits of drama before the start of the Rugby World Cup. Scotland v Georgia will be one of those events, kicking off on Saturday, the 26th of August at 5.30 p.m., the same time as Italy v Japan, at Murrayfield in Edinburgh.
The man in the middle of the pitch will be Mathieu Raynal from France, who previously took charge of the Ireland v Italy Summer Internationals test.
There's not a lot to discuss about the history of this clash, given that it has only previously been played five times, but we can at least analyse that Scotland have a record of 100% wins in that time. In their last encounter, also at Murrayfield, the Scots stormed to a 48-7 win. This may seem an open-and-shut case for a lot of rugby pundits, but can things be that simple? Let's get stuck into my Scotland v Georgia prediction.

🔍 Scotland v Georgia Match Winner Prediction
All things considered, the home side seem a shoo-in for this Scotland v Georgia test. The Scots have become a great tier-one team under Head Coach Gregor Townsend whilst Georgia are still fundamentally an average tier-two side. I think there is going to be little real competition on the pitch, so this will result in Scotland coasting comfortably to another huge lead. My prediction? The final scoreboard will have at least 25 points difference on it.
My Scotland v Georgia match winner prediction: Scotland to win!
✔️ Scotland v Georgia Betting Tips
1️⃣ Match Winner: Scotland to Win
I don't think anybody would expect to see long odds from the bookies for this one, so considering the circumstances, Scotland to win at 1.09 at LeoVegas Sports seems almost generous. Nevertheless, the potential return for a Scottish win is on the low side for my liking, so I wouldn't personally go for it. If you think differently, feel free to bet as you please, but remember to gamble responsibly, as there are no guarantees in rugby.
2️⃣ Handicap Winner: Scotland to Win (-20.5)
Now, this is where things get a lot more interesting, albeit a lot riskier and in need of sound thought. I personally believe that Scotland will win by 25 points, so the best value to be had in that respect is Scotland to win (-20.5) at 2.10 at Betway. That's a big score difference, however, so if you are not confident about that level of handicap and not comfortable staking money on such an option, don't do it! For those that want to err more on the side of caution - although gambling is never risk-free - I feel that Scotland to win (-14.5) at 1.50 at Betway also represents an interesting margin worth consideration.
3️⃣ Both Halves: Scotland to Win Both Halves
With my Scotland v Georgia prediction of a 25-point win to the home side, you may well think that I suspect Gregor Townsend's men to dominate in both halves. You would be right, but, ultimately, I don't think Scotland to win both halves at 1.27 at LeoVegas Sports is good enough for me to bother having a flutter on this market.
