Match prediction 10 of 18 of our Summer Internationals 2023 betting series.
Steven's prediction accuracy 2023: ✔️ 87.50%.
For the second match of week four of the Summer Internationals, we will see Ireland, still number one in the world rankings, host England at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off at 5.30 p.m. local time.
The man in the middle of the pitch will be Paul Williams of New Zealand. One fun fact about Paul is that he was the first New-Zealand-born referee to take charge of an All-Blacks test in 40 years when he officiated the opening encounter between New Zealand and Australia for the Bledisloe Cup 2020 series.
History has a lot to say about the two teams, given they have played each other 140 times: 80 going the way of England, 52 wins going to Ireland, and eight ending in a draw. In their last match, however, Ireland v England Six Nations, the Irish stormed to a landslide victory of 29-16 at the Aviva Stadium to complete their Grand Slam year. With both sides desperate to rack up good form before the Rugby World Cup, this 'friendly' game may end up as a gruelling battle, but who will win? Without further ado, my Ireland v England prediction...

🔍 Ireland v England Match Winner Prediction
I would like to give credit to both teams ahead of this encounter, but the truth is that England are at their lowest and will likely have to fight for their lives to stop an onslaught. Ireland are a world-class team and will dominate from the off, turning the screw till the final whistle. The Irish are one of my favourites for the Rugby World Cup 2023, and they will want to make a big impression in this match in order to send a message to the rest of the world that they are ready to claim their first title. With that in mind, I can see this being a 15-point win to the home side.
My Ireland v England match winner prediction: Ireland to win!
✔️ Ireland v England Betting Tips
1️⃣ Match Winner: Ireland to Win
I think very few rugby fans will have their minds on a win for England, which is reflected in the shorts odds for Ireland as a match winner. The big question, as it seems, is are the odds worth it? Ireland to win at 1.12 at Luckster Sports is your best option of my five favourites, but it's too on the low side for my own taste. If you like only match winner betting, however, this may be perfect for you. Use sound judgement and see how you feel about this market.
2️⃣ Handicap Winner: Ireland to Win (-13.5)
This is where the odds start getting longer, albeit at greater risk. The most popular option from the bookies seems to be the ±13.5 category, and given that I am predicting a 15-point win, you could make the argument that Ireland to win (-13.5) at 1.78 at Luckster Sports offers the best value. You could also go for a bigger margin if you think Ireland will go above and beyond the performance I am expecting from them, but please be sensible about your bet and how much you are potentially willing to lose if things go south for you.
3️⃣ Both Halves: Ireland to Win Both Halves
Ireland will look strong in this game, but will they be strong enough to establish themselves by the end of the first half and keep their good form going to the 80 minute mark? I would say there is a good chance if they manage to get points on the board, especially a try, in the first 15 minutes of play. Would I have a flutter on this market for Ireland to win both halves at 1.24 at TonyBet Sports, however? Not at those odds.
