🔍 France v Scotland Match Winner Prediction

I believe we are about to see another hard-fought test between these two sides, with Scotland looking to recreate the glory from last week. Will we see another shock score for France, however? I think it unlikely. As with my England v Wales prediction for this round of the competition, I think the home side will triumph due to a few simple reasons: the pressure on Head Coach Fabien Galthié for him to grab a win and forge confidence prior to the World Cup will lead to a change in tactics and runs-out for the older guard and a roaring French home crowd will drive the players all 80 minutes. I would say, however, that two weeks ago, I would have predicted this game as 20 points to France. Taking into account how the Scottish proved themselves at Murrayfield, I would have to say France by 10.

1️⃣ Match Winner: France to Win

There's not a lot to see here. Even the best match winner odds of France to win at 1.10 at LeoVegas Sports are miserable, considering Scotland were able to defy expectations this week. If you are fine with shorter odds, this may be a fine market for you, but it's not a market in which I would be interested.

2️⃣ Handicap Winner: France to Win (-0)

Now things take a turn for the interesting. The bookies think France will absolutely smash this game, but for the reasons explained, I think this will be a 10-point game. For this one, I would change tack a little and go for Scotland to win (+17.5) at 1.84 at TonyBet Sports . My logic for not going lower is that if France end up scoring a greater gap than I have predicted, it is likely that a player like Damian Penaud will score a typically gritty and determined try for which the French are known rather than just a penalty, so +17.5 would give you a cushion against any miscalculation. Rugby handicap betting is always tricky, however, so make sure to be sensible with any of these bets.

3️⃣ Both Halves: France to Win Both Halves

France are a team that like to dominate a match, so the possibility of them winning both halves is very much there. Would I bet on this outcome? Odds of France to win both halves at 1.65 at Betway are surely tempting, but I would have to pass on this market, because I am uncertain about this outcome and wouldn't want to risk it.
