Match Prediction 11 of 15 of our 2025 Six Nations betting series.

Prediction accuracy so far: ✔️ 90%.

Scotland welcome Wales to Murrayfield for Round 4 of the 2025 Six Nations on March 8th with kick off at 16:45 GMT. Scotland, off the back of successive defeats to Ireland and England will look to clinch a vital win before a trip to Paris on the final day of this year’s tournament. Wales for their part showed great heart and fight in their first match under interim Head Coach Matt Sherratt but ultimately came out on the losing side against Ireland in Cardiff in Round 3. That loss was a record extending 15th defeat in a row for the Welsh, who must now win in Murrayfield or against England in Round 5 to have any chance of avoiding a second successive Six Nations Wooden Spoon.

In this edition of our Six Nations predictions, we'll break down everything you need to know ahead of Scotland vs Wales, including the latest betting odds and key tips for those looking to place a bet on the Six Nations. Plus, we’ll share our prediction for this crucial clash at Murrayfield.

🏆 Scotland v Wales Prediction

Scotland entered the 2025 Six Nations with high hopes of perhaps ending their hoodoo of never finishing higher than 3rd in the competition, but after back-to-back defeats to Ireland and England those hopes appear to be over once again. The loss to England was disappointing as they coughed up chances to extend their lead on occasions at Twickenham, including the late missed conversion attempt by Finn Russell to win the game.

For all that, the Scots will be disappointed, they should still have too much for Wales. The Welsh may have put in a much better performance against Ireland in their first match under interim Coach Matt Sherratt, but they still lost and until they put in improved performances on a regular basis once again, it is hard to give them any hope of ending their losing run in Scotland on March 8th. We expect Scotland to win quite comfortably in the end and clinch their third consecutive Six Nations win over Wales.

Our Prediction: 🏆 SCOTLAND TO WIN 🏆

💶 Scotland v Wales Six Nations Betting Tips

For those of you that like to bet on rugby matches during the Six Nations, here are three tips that could help you make informed bets on the match.

  • Tip 1: Scotland to Win: Expect Scotland to make home advantage count against Wales when they meet in Round 4 of the 2025 Six Nations on March 8th. Gregor Townsend’s men will be smarting after losses against Ireland and England and will look to right those wrongs against a Welsh side that has hasn’t won a match in their last 15 tests. Wales were better against Ireland in Round 3, but if Scotland can get their tails up quickly and be more clinical in attack than they were against Ireland and England, we would expect Scotland to claim their second victory of this year’s tournament. If you agree, you can get a price of 1.11 with TonyBet on Scotland emerging victorious.
  • Tip 2: Scotland to Win by 11-20 Points: As mentioned above, expect Scotland to claim their second win of this year’s competition against Wales in Murrayfield. We think they can take a comfortable win as well, if they take their chances in a more efficient manner than they did against both Ireland and England. Some sloppy kicking also cost them against England, but if they can improve those things they should be able to comfortably handle a Wales side that were better against Ireland. Whether that was a one off or not remains to be seen under interim boss Matt Sherratt, but either way we don’t see Wales threatening a first victory in 15 test matches. To back Scotland winning the match by 11-20 points you can get a price of 3.40 with BoyleSports.
  • Tip 3: First Half to be the highest scoring half: Wales began to assert themselves against Ireland in Cardiff during Round 3 after Ireland failed to take advantage of their early dominance. That gave Wales, under their new interim Head Coach Matt Sherratt confidence to play their game and trouble Ireland for much of the first half and early in the second. Ireland weathered that storm and looked comfortable for the last twenty minutes, so expect Scotland to look to build an early lead so that any belief the Welsh team may have can be diminished quickly. Scotland have scored early against Italy and England in this year’s Six Nations and failed to build on it, if they can against Wales, they might be able to get the job done early in Round 4. You can get a price of 2.10 with DirectionBet on the first half of Scotland v Wales being the highest scoring half.

✔️ Team Scotland Form

⏪ Scotland Six Nations 2024 Form

The 2024 Six Nations was something of an up and down competition for Gregor Townsend’s Scotland team. Victories over Wales and England meant they had a chance at a Triple Crown when they faced Ireland in Round 5 of the tournament. They ultimately lost, and that loss along with defeats to Italy and France, meant that they finished the 2024 Six Nations in 4th position in the final standings.

▶️ Scotland Six Nations 2025 Form

Scotland began their 2025 Six Nations with high hopes after an encouraging November Series at the end of 2024. They beat Italy 31-19 in Round 1, before suffering a home defeat to Ireland on a scoreline of 18-32. They then followed that with another loss, this time to England by a solitary point, 16-15. That defeat to England was their first loss in the Six Nations to England since 2020.

✔️ Team Wales Form

⏪ Wales Six Nations 2024 Form

Wales suffered the ignominy of losing all five of their 2024 Six Nations matches. They subsequently finished bottom, claiming the tournament’s wooden spoon for just the second time in Six Nations history. They began with a narrow 26-27 loss to Scotland before a 14-16 defeat to England. A heavy 7-31 beating by Ireland was followed up by a 24-45 reversal against France. Wales’ nightmare 2024 Six Nations ended with a 21-24 defeat to Italy in Cardiff.

▶️ Wales Six Nations 2025 Form

Wales entered the 2025 Six Nations on a horrendous losing streak of 12 matches. The losing streak has unfortunately for Welsh rugby continued throughout the first three Rounds of this year’s tournament. An opening round loss away to France on a scoreline of 0-43 has been followed by a 15-22 defeat to Italy and a 18-27 loss to Ireland in what was their first match since Warren Gatland left his role as Head Coach. The Welsh enter their Round 4 trip to Murrayfield looking to end a run of 15 matches without a win.
