Match prediction 14 of 15 of our 2023 Six Nations bettings.
Prediction accuracy from rounds one to four: ✔️ 91.67%.
We are heading into the final round of the Six Nations championship 2023, and what a great competition it has been so far! Super Saturday will see France take on Wales at the Stade de France in Paris, with kick-off being at 3.45 p.m. local time (2.45 p.m. GMT). The France vs Wales test has been played since 1908 for a total of 102 matches. In that time, France have claimed victory 48 times, and Wales have returned the favour 51 times. The remaining three finished as draws. Will France use this opportunity to address the three-game historical difference or will Wales have the last laugh despite a dire tournament for them?
Officiating this match will be Nic Berry from Australia. Nic is an experienced referee, having taken charge of games in the Super Rugby, the 2019 Rugby World Cup, and the Lions tour in South Africa.

France built a tremendous run of form last year, so it's no surprise to see them in 2nd. Wales, however, are struggling to retain a top-ten position, so you would be forgiven for being stubborn with the idea of a French win.
🐓 France Overview
✔️ France Form
⏪ France Six Nations 2022 Form
The French won all of their matches and claimed the ultimate title of a Grand Slam in the 2022 Six Nations, so France rugby fans rightfully thought their side would be strong contenders in this year's tournament - especially building towards the Rugby World Cup in autumn. Let's find out exactly how good they have been so far.
▶️ France Six Nations 2023 Form
The first week seemed a shoo-in for last year's winners when Italy hosted France at the Stadio Olimpico. In the end, it was a very closely fought encounter, but French grit was able to prevail, turning a losing performance at the 67th minute into an eventual 24-29 victory.
Week two was built up as the match of the tournament as France travelled to play a strong Ireland side. The match did not disappoint, but France, perhaps in part due to the pressure of playing on foreign shores, were unable to overturn the might of the Irish, and succumbed to a rare loss of 32-19.
After a blip in the previous week and fantastic performances from the Scots elsewhere, France vs Scotland was set up to be another clash of the titans. France quietened the doubters, however, as week three saw them get back on track with a 32-21 win.
Week four was meant to be a monster of a match between two ancient rivals as England hosted France for Le Crunch. France thrashed England 10-53, leaving the home side humiliated in all departments, to suffer their biggest defeat at home and in the Six Nations due to a world-class performance from a vibrant French side.
Fabien Galthié’s men should be elated with the quality they have shown in this year's tournament. It's looking like they may not win this year's competition, even with an expected grand performance in this France vs Wales match, but I imagine French fans will have their heads held high to finish in second place in strong fashion.

✔️ Wales Recent Form
⏪ Wales Six Nations 2022 Form
Wales had a miserable 2022 Six Nations, winning only one of their matches and losing their other four. Fifth place left little confidence in the eyes of the WRU, which is likely one reason for the exit of former Head Coach, Wayne Pivac. Were Wales able to generate better form in this year's Six Nations, however? Let's take a look.
▶️ Wales Six Nations 2023 Form
In week one, we saw Wales totally destroyed by the Irish, the Welsh clumsily lurching to a disastrous 10-34 loss.
Week two may have been a resounding success, but sadly for Wales, not for them. Instead, the hosts, Scotland tore apart Wales as if there hadn't have been a defensive line at all, leaving 28 points difference on the scoreboard.
Week three was a scrappy match between Wales and England that impressed few of the home fans. England were nowhere near their top form, but 10-20 will still count as a W for the visitors - ugly win or not. What can Wales say, apart from that they were in the passenger seat for arguably the worst match of the tournament?
At least week four saw redemption for the Men in Red as Italy succumbed to a defeat against Wales. Fans at the Stadio Olimpico were treated to a Welsh side with rockets up their back sides, perhaps determined to overturn the perception of their newfound subjugation to Italy after last year's one-point loss, and the match ended up 17-29.
Warren Gatland's return has added to the continued demise of Wales, as the Head Coach's outdated methodology no longer cuts the mustard in modern rugby; hence poor performances throughout this year's competition. Based on how Wales have played thus far, can there be any other possibility than France winning?

Tweets by Wales🕵️ France vs Wales Prediction (Six Nations 2023)
Not a lot else to say for this one. Last year's Grand Slam winners who are second in this year's table versus a team that seems condemned to fifth place again? To be honest, I am surprised Wales are not stronger contenders for the wooden spoon, so I have no quibbles giving my France vs Wales prediction winner to France. The real question is how many points different are going to be on the scoreboard. Given that France still have a chance of winning this year's Six Nations and will need to secure a try bonus point and a big points difference to do so - not forgetting Ireland would also need to lose against England - I think the French are going to give Wales the beating of a lifetime. Based on that, I can see Les Bleus winning by at least 24 points.
Prediction for the France vs Wales winner? France to win.
💶 France vs Wales Betting Tips
I've pointed out that France are the bookies' favourites to grab this one and explained why I wholeheartedly agree that French rugby fans are going to be laughing on Saturday, but what about the odds? France to beat Wales at 1.05 seems slim to me - unsurprisingly so - so I think it may be worth considering a handicap bet. For me, I can see Les Bleus going 24 points ahead of the Welsh by the final whistle, but being a little more conservative, in case a few difficult kicks are missed, I would be happy trying my luck on France to beat Wales (-19.5 points) at 1.83.
Just remember that whatever your bet, there are no guarantees in rugby, so keep having a flutter to what you can afford to lose.
