Bayern Munich have already qualified for the Champions League round of 16 and secured top spot in Group A, thanks in no small part to the potency of four-goal Harry Kane. Surprisingly, Copenhagen find themselves in second place on goal difference ahead of Galatasaray, and a surprise win against Bayern could set up a winner-takes-all showdown with the Turkish outfit in game week six. Even defeat for the Danes wouldn’t eliminate them from the competition, regardless of the result of the other Group A game between Gala and Manchester United. But which team will prevail in Munich, and what do the best betting sites think?

🏆 Bayern Munich v FC Copenhagen UCL Prediction

The clash between Copenhagen and Bayern at the Parken Stadium on October 3rd was the first between these two sides in UEFA competition, with the Danes producing a rousing performance and even taking the lead against the Bavarians before goals from Jamal Musiala and substitute Tel secured a win for the away team.

Copenhagen also produced a superb display when defeating Manchester United 4-3 in a chaotic game before the international break. However, this match turned on a controversial red card for United forward Marcus Rashford in the first half, at which point the Red Devils led 2-0 through a pair of Rasmus Højlund strikes and were in complete control of the game.

I expect Bayern to exert a similar level of control at the Allianz Arena, with the side averaging 56.3% possession across their four UCL games so far (Copenhagen’s average is much lower at 45.5%). Thomas Tuchel’s side are also incredibly ruthless and efficient in attack, with Bayern’s goals tally exceeding their xG value by +3.6 goals and only Atletico Madrid performing better according to this metric.

Summer signing Harry Kane has been key to this achievement, with the England striker having scored four UCL goals already from an xG value of just 3.0. Of course, the real question here is whether Tuchel will rest some of his charges with qualification and top spot in Group A already confirmed, but Bayern’s starting 11 should still be strong enough to overcome their relatively limited opponents.

My Prediction: 🏆 Bayern Munich 4 – 1 FC Copenhagen⚽

💯 Bayern Munich v FC Copenhagen UCL Match Odds

Regardless of which sportsbook you choose from Betinireland’s comprehensive bookmaker reviews, you’ll find a dazzling array of Bayern vs Copenhagen betting markets. Of course, some of these are more popular than others, so here’s my analysis of the three biggest markets and their very latest odds!

🏅 Bayern Munich v FC Copenhagen: Match Winner

According to their average starting price of 1.22, there’s an implied probability of 81.96% that Bayern will beat Copenhagen at the Allianz Arena. Conversely, Copenhagen can be backed at around 11.00 to prevail here, with this suggesting that they have just a 9.09% chance of returning to Denmark with three crucial points.

⚽ Bayern Munich v FC Copenhagen: Both Teams To Score

Both sides have scored in 11 of Bayern’s 18 matches this season (including all four UCL encounters), while Tuchel’s side have found the net in 17 successive games since drawing a blank in their 3-0 DFL-Supercup defeat against RB Leipzig on August 12th. As for Copenhagen, both teams have scored in 15 of their 27 matches in 2023/24, while the Danes have only failed to score on four occasions.

🥅 Bayern Munich v FC Copenhagen: Over/Under 2.5 Goals

The odds clearly imply a higher probability of over 2.5 goals being scored in this match, and with good reason too. More specifically, the 45 matches contested by these teams through 2023/24 have yielded an astonishing 172 goals, at a rate of 3.82 per game. Bayern and Copenhagen are scoring at respective rates of 3.22 and 2.29 per game across all competitions too.

✔️ Bayern Munich v FC Copenhagen - Betting Tips

According to the current odds, the bookmakers are clearly expecting Bayern to win and over 2.5 goals to be scored in this Champions League clash. This can make it hard to identify value across different wagers, so I’ve prepared some betting tips to help you successfully navigate your chosen markets.

  • Tip 1: Back Bayern to Win With Over 3.5 Goals: You’ll need to create value when backing Bayern to win, especially as strategies like matched betting are less effective when laying a short price favourite. Instead, you should consider backing Bayern to win with over 3.5 goals scored in the game at a price of 2.15 with Betway, as this reflects the home side’s dominance and the sheer number of goals scored in matches featuring both teams through 2023/24.
  • Tip 2: Back Bayern to Win With a Handicap of -2.5 Goals: I’ve backed Bayern to win by three goals against Copenhagen, although this depends in part on Tuchel fielding a strong side against the Danes. Certainly, I’d expect a comprehensive win for the Bavarians if Harry Kane, Leroy Sane, and Jamal Musiala (who has produced 1.29 goal-creating actions per 90 in the UCL) start, and you can back Bayern to win with a handicap of -2.5 goals at an enhanced price of 2.42 with Betway. This wager carries increased risk, however, so you may want to make use of any free bets on your account if you have them.
  • Tip 3: Back Bayern to Score in 0-10 Minutes: Bayern are known as fast starters (especially at the Allianz Arena), having scored a whopping nine goals (and conceded none) in the first 15 minutes of Bundesliga matches this season. While they’ve only scored one goal in the opening 15 minutes across their four UCL matches, they’ll be able to play with freedom against Copenhagen having already qualified for the round of 16, so there’s value in backing them to score in the first 10 minutes at a price of 2.42 with LegendPlay.

1️⃣ Bayern Update

While Bayern may have started their campaign with an underwhelming 3-0 defeat to Leipzig in the DFL-Supercup, they’ve since lost just one of 17 games in all competitions and remain undefeated in both the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League. They’ve also scored 58 goals at a rate of 3.41 per game during this sequence, with Harry Kane having become the fastest-ever player to score 15 Bundesliga goals and contributed 21 goals (and seven assists) in just 16 appearances since his summer arrival. Kane has also struck up an impressive understanding with the excellent Leroy Sane, who has nine goals and seven assists to his name in 18 appearances this season.

While Jamal Musiala incurred a muscle injury against Galatasaray on November 8th, he recently completed an individual running session and could be fit in time for the visit of Copenhagen (although whether Tuchel risks him or not is another question). Centre back Matthijs de Ligt remains out with an inner knee ligament tear, while youngsters Tarek Buchmann (muscle injury) and Tom Hülsmann (hamstring) are long-term absentees.

2️⃣ FC Copenhagen Update

Copenhagen have a win rate of 59.26% in 2023/24, having triumphed in 16 of their 27 matches across all competitions and incurred four defeats. They’ve also scored 62 goals and conceded 32, with the latter figure highlighting the side’s occasional defensive vulnerability (especially at the very highest level). In the Champions League proper, they’ve conceded eight goals in four matches at a rate of 2.00 per game, while they also shipped three against Icelandic minnows Breiðablik and Sparta Prague respectively during UCL qualifying. All eyes will be on 18-year-old Swedish sensation Roony Bardghji for the Danes, with the forward having scored the winner against Man United and struck 10 goals in his 24 appearances this season.

Both midfielder William Clem (broken foot) and Davit Khocholava (knee injury) remain long-term absentees for Copenhagen, and they’re not expected to return until the New Year. However, left-back Birger Meling is nearing a return as he recovers from a muscle fibre tear, although the visit to Bayern may come a little too soon for him.
