I, along with many other cricket fans, was expecting a pretty evenly fought series between India and Australia, but India have been in some incredible form as of late, and are showing us all why they are the favourites to lift the 2023 Cricket World Cup. They took Australia's bowling attack to the cleaners in the second ODI, notching up 400 runs, and then their bowling attack set about dismantling the Aussie batting unit.
With the form that India are currently in, it is difficult to look beyond an India win in this third and final ODI. They have quality throughout, so if one of their batsmen does not get you, another one will. It must be really disheartening for bowlers to pick up a wicket against India, only to see another superstar stride to the crease. It will take some performance to stop them at the World Cup.

Any of their top order can tear opposition bowling attacks apart on their day. Kohli, one of India's best ever batsmen, sat out of the previous two ODIs, but it is likely that he will be back for this one. If he plays, then my money is on him to top score - in 279 ODI matches for his country, he has scored 13,027 runs at an average of 57.38, including 47 centuries and 65 half-centuries.

Australia also have some quality batsmen in their team, and for this final match of the series I am going to back David Warner to be their top scorer. He has scored two half-centuries in the series so far, which shows that he is in some decent form. He is a very good player of spin, which makes him an important member of their team ahead of the World Cup in India. In the 146 ODIs that he has played for Australia, he has scored 6,136 runs at an average of 45.11, which includes 20 centuries and 27 half-centuries. With many of their other batsmen being out of form, Warner for top batsman looks a strong bet.

The Aussie batsmen seem to struggle with his pace and variation, so that is why I am backing him.

Mitchell Starc missed out on the first two ODIs against India, and their bowling attack has definitely missed his pace and devastating yorkers. He is one of their fastest bowlers, and his extra pace could cause the Indian batsmen some issues that they have not had to face in the first two matches.
