After making his debut in February 2012, Navarrete earned his first World Championship tilt in December 2018, beating Isaac Dogboe for the WBO Super Bantamweight Championship. Navarrete defended that title on three occasions before winning the WBO Super Featherweight Championship against Liam Wilson in February 2023.
