💯 Beterbiev vs Bivol Betting Odds
According to the sites featured in Betinireland’s bookmaker reviews, Bivol is the pre-fight favourite to win in Riyadh.
The 33-year-old Russian is priced at around 1.68 to triumph at the Kingdom Arena, implying a 59.52% probability of a Bivol victory. Conversely, Beterbiev can be backed at average odds of 2.05 to defeat his compatriot, suggesting that he has a 48.78% chance of becoming the undisputed light-heavyweight champion. You can bet on the draw or a technical decision being awarded at a price of 17.00. This implies a distant 5.88% probability of either outcome occurring.

Beterbiev vs Bivol Prediction
Not only will this bout see an undisputed champion crowned at 175 pounds, but it will also produce a fascinating clash of styles. After all, Beterbiev is an aggressive, come-forward fighter with a 100% KO rate, whereas Bivol prefers to rely on slick movement, counter punching and his obvious defensive skills. Undoubtedly, Bivol has incredible fundamentals, which is why he has never hit the canvas in 190 rounds of action. He’s actually more seasoned than Beterbiev despite being the younger man, while he has an uncanny ability of drawing opponents into his preferred type of fight.
As I’ve touched on, Bivol is also incredibly difficult to hit, with opponents connecting with just 13% of their punches against the Russian. So, Beterbiev will have to continually close the distance against a man with exceptional footwork, while also attempting to land clean against a constantly moving target. Beterbiev is more than capable, of course, boasting excellent movement of his own and an unerring knack of cutting off the ring. However, he has yet to fight a man with Bivol’s incredible technique and ring craft, and may remain vulnerable to Bivol’s relentlessly consistent jab and counter punching while in range.
Ultimately, either fighter could win this bout, especially if Beterbiev is able to leverage his deceptively powerful short punches to slow Bivol down. However, the accuracy of Bivol’s jab and his elusive footwork are hard to negate, while he also creates unusual counter punch angles by regularly pivoting to his left. It has yet to be seen whether Beterbiev has fully recovered from his recent meniscus injury too, so I’m backing Bivol to win on points in Riyadh!
My Prediction: 🏆 Dmitry Bivol to win
⚡Artur Beterbiev Form
Beterbiev’s record is as flawless as it is ferocious, with the 39-year-old veteran having won all 20 of his career bouts. Not only this, but each victory has come by way of either knockout or TKO, with only one fighter (Enrico Kölling) having taken the Russian beyond the 10th round. Despite his advancing years, Beterbiev also appears to be getting better with age. In fact, he was almost punch perfect during his demolition of the former super-middleweight champion Callum Smith in January. Before stopping Smith two minutes into round seven, he landed 182 punches (compared to just 59 for his opponent), while also landing 95 jabs and a whopping 87 power punches.
Beterbiev is certainly renowned for his strength and heavy hands. However, he’s also adept at closing the distance on opponents and restricting the room they have to operate in. This is not only an effective defensive tactic, but it also keeps him in range and enables him to unload a high volume of power punches each round. Certainly, Beterbiev’s work-rate is to be admired, and he’ll have to force he pace if he’s to have any chance of becoming undisputed in Riyadh. However, the Russian’s defence is occasionally vulnerable, with Beterbiev experiencing flash knockdowns to the unheralded pair of Callum Johnson and Jeff Page Jr. during his career. This will be something that Bivol will look to exploit, as any kind of knockdown could prove crucial in such a tight and evenly-matched encounter.

⭐ Dmitry Bivol Form
Despite being six years Beterbiev’s junior, Bivol has contested three more professional bouts (23) and fought considerably more rounds (190 compared to 98). He has won all 23 of his fights too, although only 12 of these victories having been achieved by way of knockout (52.17%). The remaining 11 have all been won by decision.
Interestingly, his recent TKO of Malik Zinad on June 1st was his first stoppage win in more than six years. Following a 12th round stoppage of Sullivan Barrera in March 2018, Bivol had recorded nine consecutive wins by way of unanimous decision, including a comprehensive triumph over super-middleweight king and pound-for-pound great Canelo Alvarez.
Bivol’s win over Alvarez showcased the Russian’s exceptional movement and defensive qualities, with Canelo only able to land 84 punches during the 12 rounds. This was a career low for the usually busy and accurate Mexican, who was previously restricted to 117 successful punches by Floyd Mayweather Jr. in his only other career defeat.
According to CompuBox, opponents only land an average of six punches per round against Bivol overall. Only Shakur Stevenson (5.3) fares better according to this metric, while fighters connect with an average of just four power punches per round against Bivol too. So, he’s extremely slick and hard-to-hit, with just 13% of the total punches thrown at Bivol actually reaching the target.
Bivol also lands an average of 8.8 jabs per round, which is the highest of any fighter in any weight class. He connects with 24.9% of his total jabs too, creating an effective weapon that helps him to maintain distance and fight on the back foot while simultaneously landing scoring shots. This could prove crucial against the aggressive Beterbiev.

💥Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol Fight Analysis
Between them, Beterbiev and Bivol have recorded 43 wins from 43 bouts, including 32 stoppages and 11 unanimous decisions. Neither fighter has faced significant jeopardy either, notwithstanding Beterbiev’s flash knockdowns against Callum Johnson and Jeff Page Jr. Bivol has yet to hit the canvas at all.
Of course, this is a reflection of both fighters’ styles. Although Beterbiev is capable of working his way into a 12-round bout, he’s a come-forward fighter who likes to apply pressure and cut off the ring. Conversely, Bivol is a technical master who’s constantly on the move, as he uses his slick defence and outstanding jab to dominate bouts. Beterbiev has been out of the ring since his impressive win over Callum Smith in January, with a meniscus injury causing the undisputed clash to be moved from its original date of June 1st. Prior to this, he also broke down the powerful British contender Anthony Yarde, stopping him in eight rounds at the OVO Arena in Wembley.
Bivol fought more recently in June, as Malik Zinad stepped in to replace the injured Beterbiev before being stopped in round six. Prior to this, Bivol comfortably defeated the tricky Lyndon Arthur and previously unbeaten Gilberto Ramírez, with both bouts following his superb win over Alvarez at the T-Mobile Arena in Nevada.
